There is a new mysterious message on the FAPT chat page. It appears that a colleague of Howard has reached out to Howard using FAPT to pass a secret message.
The initials of the poster, NR, likely match the name of fellow Bold Futura employee Nikolia Roza.
Linked in the message is a strange audio file, which starts out as haunting music, but appears to contain some sort of encoded message.
The file is called my_audio_file.mp3 in the message, but when you download it, it is named T_03072016_6SW.mp3
Andrew posted in the comments that the file is encoded using a HAM radio technique called ssTV (Slow Scan TV). Essentially, it allows you to broadcast images using a radio signal.
Playing the audio file, while running a decoder program (I used MMSTV), the signal generates this hidden image:
Some people have pointed out that this reminds them of the Black Knight satellite.
UPDATE: I just noticed there is something in the metadata comments of the MP3 file:

ReplyDeleteThat thing looks extremely similar to the Black Knight. It was supposedly a ufo that's been orbiting the earth for years. Pretty sure it got debunked as just junk stuck in orbit, but pictures of that thing are still creepy as hell.

DeleteI think whatever that is floating in space has actually been on the FAPT site since the very beginning. If you look at the Eiffel Tower pick, specifically under the tower (I've magnified the page by 200%), you'll see something that looks like a starfish with a head/face looking at you (multiple arms like in the hidden satellite image). what do you think?
ReplyDeleteAnother interesting thing about the Eiffel Tower photo that I didn't ever notice until now is that it's not in Paris, but in the middle of the mountains. The Eiffel Tower is surrounded by city in all directions; the mountains in the pic are nowhere near it. Where is that?
DeleteThe picture of Eiffel Tower on the FAPT site appears to just be a small scale model (because of the lack of detail), that is in front of a window. So those could be any mountains, depending on where the photo was taken.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the scale of this picture is deliberately ambiguous. Seems like something falling past a camera that is taking a pic of the Earth. Interesting for sure. Is this what caused the disturbance and red flashes on for the Satellite?
ReplyDeleteActually, the Black Knight kind of makes sense. After reading the history they mention it started as something to do with radio experiments and hearing strange noises.
ReplyDeleteThis ties into the more extra terrestrial conspiracies for Clover, and this satellite the Black Knight could have been responsible for the event witnessed by the other satellite, which had its audiofile found at the live drop.
Does anyone know which song is played? I believe it's a Russian Waltz, but don't know enough about them to say for sure.

ReplyDeleteIMO, I don't really think there is anything to pursue. There are lots of Eiffel Towers in the bunker, because Howard filled it with things his daughter Megan would like.

DeleteWhile I was looking into information about the Black Knight Satellite, I found a bunch of references to an astronaut who spotted the satellite while he was on a mission. The astronaut's name was Gordon Cooper, who was the same astronaut referenced in Super 8's Rocket Poppeteers ARG.

ReplyDeleteFirst time I did it, there was a lot of noise coming from the microphone. After disabling that, it was much clearer.
DeleteI haven't been on the Cloverfeild ARG since 2008. I don't know if it was ever discussed, but in the last few seconds of the Cloverfeild film, when the 2 characters are on the feris wheel, an object is seen falling from the sky to the ocean. A faint splash is also seen.

Yes, it was discussed a lot. The Bold Futura cover story was that it was a piece of a Japanese satellite.
