The REAL username/password to USGX-8810-B467-233PX.com has been found by Unfiction's Tether!
The password was in fact something that Alyse Hanssen should have been able to figure out herself, IF she bought the Cloverfield DVD (and not the SteelBook version!!).
The username is simply alysehanssen, and the password was the mysterious number on the "Project Cloverfield" sticker which seals the DVD - 11112014349.
Entering the correct username and password reveals no new information, and the "parent directory" still takes you to "unauthorized", so I have the feeling we have found everything there is to find. Good work everyone!

So the password is the number on the "Project Cloverfield" sticker? What about all the other code numbers on other special editions?

The SteelBook seems to be 11111011758 (could be wrong, as I'm reading it from the pic Dennis had up in a previous post, and it's kind of blurry)
The US Best Buy edition has 11112014174, and the Canadian version is 11112014167.
The Sears/K-Mart version has 11112014178.
Could all these codes be different passwords to the same site, or other sites?

Also, no-one who saw the movie without following this on-line debacle would ever know how to crack the code.

The Best Buy special edition with TJ Miller's video diary came with the correct code, or at least mine did...
ReplyDeleteThis might be old news, but the circular yellow sticker that says "DECLASSIFIED NEW FOOTAGE & SPECIAL FEATURES" also has a code on it in the same format; 11112014265.
I wonder if these codes will have significance or if they are just to throw us off.

The Target edition sticker does end in 4349 but the cardboard cover that went over the DVD has the number 11111012100. I agree, try diffrent usernames? jgarreite with diffrent numbers? or myabe teddyhanssen or jamielescano?

I mean you can enter in what ever you want and it still takes you to the same page. If that was indeed the correct username/password dont you think it would open something else up?

ReplyDeleteI have a new theory which doesnt give any real solid answers but it is something to ponder. What if the missing files that are labeled PX are actually the later photos or maybe all of the photos on 1-18-08.com
ReplyDeleteWhat made me think of it is the picture of what we think is abunch of mutilated whales...they just dont seem very whale like. I think the photos and the supplementary files is all things that happend after Clover attacked NY.
So heres my question, what about the MySpace pages? They still haven't been updated. Not since 1-18-08 ;) Why don't those pages have the nine sword? If still hasn't happened IG yet, why have the pages yet to be updated?
ReplyDeleteThe attack happens on Jan 18 in the ARG, and May 23 in the movies. I think they are just on a different space-time continuum. Think of it like Fahrenheit and Celsius; the numbers don't match up, but they describe the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI think the sword logo was tagged on all the "evidence" for the government's investigation. This all started when the government shut down the Tidowave site.
The government doesn't really have any reason to investigate the MySpace people.

It is just assumed, because at the end of the movie, Rob says it is Saturday, May 23, and the next time May 23rd is a Saturday is in 2009.

ReplyDeleteHmmm... I beleive the 1-18-08 pics are gonna be one of the GX files. so far the 1-18-08 pics have proved/confirmed in game sites. 1-18-08 is the hub that connects the info and clues. example:
ReplyDeleteRandom Japanese Recipe from a Random japanese chef pic had you translate recipe and search "Seabed Nectar" which led you to Tagruato. < end reason to have more recipes and pics from chef.
The pic of HUD, Jamie, and Rob could be flipped with their names, leading to searching for them and finding the myspace pages. < no more party pics!
I think this will be the end of communication with Alyse and John Garrettie. In her world the DVD does not exist. There's no way that Alyse would or could walk over to her local wal mart and get her password. I think We are watching from the double sided mirrior, we have our world (Where luckily the DVD exists!) AND theirs to follow. I think our next clue to uncover more GX files will be from somewhere else... They are using so many ways to tell the story of the monster (via Manga, Movie, Websites, and everyday People)... just my .02...
Plus, I dunno how serious we should take the myspace pages. I mean,they do tie in to the movie(for instance rob mentions the My Fair Lady thing in both myspace and the movie) but if you notice on Hud's, his hieght is listed as 2'3", which is hilarious. But see what i mean? If the myspace pages were important i dont know if they'd mess with it like that.
