Life Preserving Information Page Updated - Keep Trying

There was a new update to the Life Preserving Information page on the FunAndPrettyThings website.

The latest entry suggests that Howard has made changes to the Survival Simulation game, to make it harder to play with only one player. Maybe the key to "winning" (if that's even possible) requires two people in the bunker, and they need to survive at least two years.

ObFuSc8 from UnFiction has a great summary of the rules, and tips for making your supplies last. He is working on an "ideal" list of supplies. Once that is available, we'll post it here so everyone can work on breaking the two-year mark.

I CAN SEE YOU’RE STILL USING THE SIM, MEGAN, AND I KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER. I’VE GONE THROUGH AND MADE SOME CHANGES BASED ON MY LATEST FINDINGS. FOR INSTANCE, BEING ON YOUR OWN DOWN THERE WON’T BE SO EASY IN REALITY. SO NOW IT’S NOT SO EASY IN THE SIM EITHER. IT’S NOW A BETTER TEST OF YOUR PREPARATION APPROACH, AND SHOULD MAKE YOU THINK TWICE ABOUT TRYING TO GO IT ALONE. WE’RE LOOKING AT 2 YEARS AT MINIMUM. AND IT’LL PROBABLY EVEN LONGER.

ALONG THOSE LINES, A TIP – MORALE MAY SEEM TO BE LESS IMPORTANT THAN HARD SUPPLIES. BUT IT’S NOT. TRUST ME, I KNOW.

KEEP TRYING AND DON’T LET ME DOWN.

LOVE,

DAD

  3. I got to thinking the other day, the Cloverfield ARG was kind of displaced as far as the timeline was concerned in that it seemed to take place alternately from the events of the movie as far as dates were concerned.

I'm wondering if the same is true of this ARG. His comment about morale and "trust me, I know.", seem to indicate that maybe this information is getting sent out after the events of the movie? I dunno. It's just a thought.
