Going to the URL tagruato.jp/employeeofthemonth takes you to the February employee of the month page.
Here we find a photo and description of Dr. Feng Guangbiao, the author of the most recent Tagruato email.
A link at the bottom of the page takes you to last month's pages, where you will find Vanessa Gwon, the January employee of the month
However, the big discovery is the February Bold Futura employee of the month - Howard Stambler (aka John Goodman)!
The profile reads:
Bold Futura
Howard Stambler -
Telemetry Analyst
Howard will celebrate his seven-year anniversary with Bold Futura in the fall. This month, Howard’s drive, commitment and refusal to accept easy answers resulted in a significant breakthrough diagnosing transmission complications with two of our governmental clients’ orbiting satellites.
Stambler is wearing a t-shirt that says "Radioman '70", possibly a reference to the now defunct Radioman rating for Navy personnel specializing in communications technology. The year 1970 likely means that he served during the Vietnam war.
If anyone is still doubting the ARG is happening: http://imgur.com/GkScaqN
ReplyDeleteOH MAH GOSH! IT IS HAPPENING!!!
ReplyDeleteI just typed in the date for the film release as a url like the one for Cloverfield, and I got this!
ReplyDeletehttp://twinsandcorealty.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Bomb_Shelter_kit1.jpg
I just checked the home page of that site and you can search for 10 Cloverfield Lane!
ReplyDeleteFWIW..
ReplyDeleteFutura Bold is a font type.
Howard's shirt says Radioman70
ReplyDeleteRadioman70.com links to
Funandprettythings.com
Lots of pictures including the Eiffel Tower.
One of the pictures is a still from Pretty in Pink.
Click it and your prompted to enter a pass phrase.
"Do you want to talk?" is the pass phrase.
That leads to a letter from Howard to his daughter.
Funandprettythings.com is not fake. It might have been registered today, but the Tagruato page was only found about an hour or two ago. For someone to design a website and write out a whole letter from Howard to his daughter, that would take a bit longer. I'm not saying it would take a month to design since the site does look pretty simple, but this fast? No way.
ReplyDeleteBut there is NO WAY the powers that be would have registered the domain names today.
ReplyDeleteThe employee of the month pages could have been there since the trailer came out, they were only found today. Do you really think someone at Paramount is just combing Reddit until someone finds the clues AND THEN registering domain names? It's ridiculous!
Ignorance is bliss!
DeleteWow, the rudeness of both of these replies was unexpected. I was just trying to provide a contrasting opinion in the offhand chance that this site is legit. Of course, I have no way of knowing that it is or isn't. I'm just entertaining the notion that it could be if we're indeed going to be given an ARG to have fun with. When did people in this Clover community get so elitist, and just start acting rude towards participators who entertain the possibility of something being real, even if they themselves do not? Guess I'll stick to participating over at unfiction and Reddit and leave this site's comments section alone. Thanks for the positive experience the first time around, Dennis.
DeleteI wasn't replying to your post. I was just saying that ignorance is bliss. Cuz it is. It's more fun following a bogus lead than it is waiting around for a real one to pop up.
DeleteIf we were in the Matrix I'd want to stay plugged in.
Anonymous,
DeleteSorry, my frustration was not directed at you. The sloppy handling of all this is ridiculous.
In fact, if you analyze the properties of the images, you'll see that they were edited today. So, the February employee page was published today.
DeleteSo, Howard works for Bold Futura. Bold Futura's domain was parked in 2007, around or slightly before the teaser trailer debuted. We didn't even know that Bold Futura existed until Tagruato's site went up and mentioned that company, which was months after the ARG officially started. We may want to keep an eye on that website to see if it suddenly becomes active.
ReplyDeleteProof: http://www.whois.com/whois/boldfutura.com
At the end of the letter from Howard to his daughter (on funandprettythings) there is a place to enter a message. It then asks if you are megan, and theyln what secret gift Howard gave to her on her 13th birthday. My guesses haven't worked yet
ReplyDeleteAlso saw that one of the pictures shows a bunch of lettered charms. The missing letters are A, E, G, M & N or........MEGAN
DeleteI am blown away with what you guys have found. I can't wait for this movie. I bet every photo to this site is a clue to the answer "what did I get you for your 13th bday"
ReplyDeleteMy name is Acevedo too :)
DeleteThat's the password;-)
DeleteSo wait, Dennis, are you on board with radioman70.com being IG or no?
ReplyDeleteAnnnnnd your last post answered my question lol.
DeleteWhat's crazy is I suggested that John GoodmanGoodman was related to Tagruato on youtube but everyoneeveryone was saying I was crazy lol
ReplyDeleteGo to radioman70.com it redirects you to funandprettythings.com
ReplyDeleteclick on the picture of the girl and computer
when it asks for the phrase type: do you want to talk?
it will take you to a letter adressed to Megan about bomb shelters (Howard Stamblers daughter presumably)
when you try to comment on the letter it will ask if you are megan, and then a security question of what her secret 13th birthday present was. Nobody I know has figured that part out yet tho.
You do not belong here.
ReplyDeleteMegan would never come here.
I know who you are and will be tracking you.
This confirms it, this is a Cloverfield movie indeed... I'm so fu**ing excited!
ReplyDeleteOn the "Employee of the Month" page Bruno Kielholz's face doesn't seem to fit the head. And he seem to been a victim of some sort of contamination.
ReplyDeleteAnyone find the survival simulator and other links that Howard left for his daughter?
