J.J. Abrams at Wondercon on Cloverfield Sequel

J.J. Abrams spoke at the Wondercon Star Trek panel, and answered a fan question about Cloverfield. Take it for what it's worth, but it sounds like the same old story* to me:
We have an idea that we thought was pretty cool that we’re playing with, which means there will be something that’s connected to Cloverfield, but I hope it happens sooner rather than later because the idea is pretty sweet.
If there ever was going to be a sequel, now would be the time to start it, and release the trailer during Star Trek in May. They wouldn't even need to film the whole movie - just the trailer, like they did with Cloverfield.

  3. Ummmm ... Would it not be sweet if a "sequel" could be released on 1-01-10?

    Think about it. 1-01-10

10110 is the Zip Code for the NYC district where Rob's party took place.

Also, if you "google/map" 10110, then click on "street view" you see in front of you: "Lucky Brand Jeans" ... Lucky, as in a Four-Leaf-Clover lucky!!! It's the company's logo: http://www.luckybrand.com/

There's also a mysterious site: http://www.10110.org/ where many of the clickable links state: "NOT YET." (Reminder of the Slusho and Tagruato pages).

Obviously, these sites are too elaborate and are only coincidence, and I may be a bit too obsessed with Cloverfield. But, it was the original VIRAL that hooked me onto this thing, and (if there's a sequel in the works) the 1-01-10 idea would be FANTASTIC!!!
