Cloverfield TV Commercial #14 - Breathe

Here is the latest Cloverfield TV Commercial, titled "Breathe", bought to you exclusively by DailyMotion. There IS a very tiny, blurry, smoke-filled glimpse of the monster, but I even slowed it down and I really can't make out anything.

Here it is on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFvAehPvPKc

More TV Commercials On YouTube

My new YouTube account is up and running, mostly. I have all the TV commercials, Trailers, and Chuai News videos posted, but I still need to get to the JamieAndTeddy videos and some miscellaneous items.

I also have a handful of new commercials, including a better version of the "rats" commercial (now called "tunnel rats"), and some 15 second commercials.
Plus, all of the commercials are now grouped into a Cloverfield TV Commercial channel.

Check the YouTube side bar for a complete list of my videos and "channels"!

Cloverfield Billboards in Times Square

Here are some pictures of Cloverfield billboards in Times Square.

I think Konamouse from Unfiction said it best: "Makes me wonder if the budget for advertising and distribution is bigger than the filming budget."

In addition the the billboards, and the New Year's Rockin' Eve special, Cloverfield has been busy sponsoring a variety of TV shows on Comedy Central, Discovery, and SciFi.

UPDATE: They were apparently handing out Cloverfield cups and postcards at the Rose Bowl! Too bad there was no Cloverfield rose parade float!

* Thanks to JookNy21 for the images, Aeon for emailing me about the TV shows, and Marco for emailing me about the rosebowl!

Cloverfield WAP Site

Cloverfield now has a mobile phone website
(WAP) for the movie, in addition to the Slusho! WAP found a few days ago.

There's information on the Widget contest, a movie summary, theater showtimes (coming Jan 13th), and you can download Cloverfield wallpaper and clip from the movie.

I was not able to download the movie, so let me know if it is different from what we have already seen.

Slusho Commercial Contest Ads

Ads for the Slusho Happy Commercial Contest of Joy have started showing up online.

The strange thing is, there is no mention of Cloverfield. Maybe there haven't been enough submissions yet?

Speaking of contests... don't forget about the Cloverfield Widget contest, where you can help CloverfieldClues and it's readers win a hometown screening of Cloverfield, before it premiers!

Cloverfield Guerrilla Marketing

Slashfilm has a new post about some sidewalk chalk advertising Cloverfield showing up "all around" San Fransisco.

It appears this may be part of a larger, overall guerrilla marketing campaign.

The slogan "What is Cloverfield?" matches some promotional postcards I have found (more on that later). Another slogan "What Is It?" is also featured on postcards, as well as mini-posters (like the kind you would see "flyposted" on construction sites in L.A.)

The fact that the advertising began today also coincides with a job listing posted on CraigsList for seasonal help promoting a "NYC Monster" movie from December 21-January 4th (with possible extension to January 18)

I don't know if the viral marketing is winding down, but the street marketing campaign looks like it is alive and huge!

* Thanks to Johnnyutah16 at unFiction for finding the job ad!
