Play.com, the UK's number two online retailer, may have leaked some info on the upcoming Cloverfield DVD release.
Take that for what it's worth, as they still also list an HD-DVD version, which we know will definitely not be coming out.
According to their site, the special edition two-disc set will include:
• Commentary by Director Matt Reeves
• Case Designate: Cloverfield (50 mins)
• Easter Eggs
• Document 01.18.08: The Making of Cloverfield
• Cloverfield Visual Effects
• I Saw It! It's Alive! It's Huge!
• Clover Fun
• Deleted Scenes with Optional Commentary
• Alternate Endings with Optional Commentary
Play.com doesn't list a price or release date, however Amazon.co.uk is listing it at £14.99 with a June 9th release date, and HMV.com has an exclusive look at the cover.

50 minutes? I don't think so :S
ReplyDeleteThat '50 minutes' is not referring to the actual movie.
ReplyDeleteThe "Case Designate: Cloverfield (50 mins)", is probably a bonus feature - probably a documentary/behind the scenes/making-of type of video.
Some of these things sound cool if there true but alternate endings are not very common on DVDs
ReplyDeleteThen what's "Document 1.18.08: The Making of Cloverfield" ?
ReplyDeleteI was hoping they'd have something a step above the 2-disc version, for all the freaks like me who followed the marketing for months, ideally including the Clover figurine. But hey, details still aren't official, right?
ReplyDeleteThe "Case Designate: Cloverfield" sounds like it could be all the viral marketing explained.
ReplyDeleteOr some sort of extra that either talks about the making of the movie or a government type documentary thing.
