Slusho! Orders Contain Japanese Newspaper. Cloverfield Clues?

The box that the Slusho! hat and t-shirt came in was very plain, but inside were some pieces of Japanese newspaper. I doubt they contain any clues, but it's a nice little touch. Nevertheless, I have scanned them in so they can be analyzed. I found the horse racing picture interesting, since I work in the horse industry.

If anyone reads Japanese, or has different pages from the paper, send me an email, and we can piece them together while we wait for more clues.

I did notice that page 21 has a website on it - www.jal.co.jp/happiness/ (Japan Airlines)

UPDATE: I have added 8 more pages. 3 from 1-18-08.livejournal.com, and 5 from ???. I now have pages 9 through 24.

  1. to me it seems it's just to prove it's really from "japan" (err... SC, whatever). Over at cloverfield: what we know so far, she got some stuff too, but it seems like different news paper pages then what you recieved. I feel like if it was a clue all the page they would have sent would have been the same.

  2. These are pages from the Nikkan Sun, a Japanese newspaper published in Hawaii.

  3. Wow. So if it's all published news stuff, then the only territory that would be legit ground for clues would be the ad space.

  4. In Hawaii.. I bet JJ just saw that newspaper whilst on a day off from LOST and thought "heh, lets just include that" XD

  5. The Hawaii/Abrams connections is tempting, but there's no evidence that Abrams is personally hosting this marketing campaign/ARG. Bill Gates, for instance, didn't host ilovebees; 42 Entertainment did. Similarly, they're the minds behind Year Zero, not Trent Reznor.

All of which is to say, maybe it's a clue that we've got Hawaii in the mix now, and not a sign of Abrams' laziness.

  6. yeah but didn't Abrams cut the trailer himself at home...so i take it he's very close to the project and he is in on all of it

  7. Just curious, but if anyone can translate the Japanese on the plane tickets I wonder if they say Rob Hawkins. I'm probably out of my mind but it's something while we have nothing.

  11. Doesn't anyone think it is odd that the colours on the bus and the flag of the horse rider are the same.

If you see that link... now look at the slush colours ...same red...same blue...

    What it means .. ????
