Cloverfield Movie Poster

Here is the "official" full picture of the new Cloverfield poster.

The posters have already started appearing in movies theaters, and now they are showing up on eBay!

These are authentic double-sided movie theater posters, unlike the promotional posters from Comic-Con, which were only one-sided.

FYI, the back side is printed in reverse, to the poster can be used in a back-lit frame.

UPDATE: Markus from Germany has sent in pictures of a Cloverfield "standee" in Munich.

  1. I think I've found a few frames in the trailer which show the tail of a smaller monster at 1:30.

  2. Ohhh, Dennis, your evil. I was gonna buy the double-sided Cloverfield poster in a couple days, but I may have to bump it up to tonight since so many people will be going for it after seeing this. Evilness. =P

  3. And about those standees, I'll be going to the movies soon and my theatre usually, if not always, has standees of all their upcoming films, so I'll definitely snap a picture if I stumble onto one.

  4. I´ve seen one in Germany. Sorry for not taking a photo. But it says not "Cloverfield" or "1-18-08" or even "1-31-08", just: "2008".

Maybe I can make a photo tomorrow.

  5. I work in a cinema in the UK and nearly died when I saw one of the cardboard 'standees' appear in the lobby area! It has a destroyed New York skyline in the background and then a cardboard cut out of a headless Statue of Liberty forward from it. It looks brilliant from a distance because it has a 3D effect. As mckenna said, it just says 2008 on the bottom, no date. I am working today so I will try and get a picture but my colleagues may think I am crazy...

  6. BTW Dennis, i just checked a website for my local cinema. The company has stated that the Movie will be released on the 1st of February 2008 for us in the UK. But this might be out of date as it still called the film "Untitled JJ Abrams Project"

Had to cut this to fit it.
This page has an article, a video of the game and an artists rendition that looks similar to the monster in the new trailer. This site has released the bulk of photos recently so this might be a good lead although it posted in July.

  8. In the trailor we can see the monster in 1 part correct? and it has a green glow correct?...well it just might be my quality of picture but at :40 when we get a sky shot of NYC and we can see an explosion,im the explosion iv noticed a glowing green part of the explosion....and if this whole movie is supposed to be a hand held type of movie how do we get certain shots in the trailor?

  9. in the explosion sry..not im the explosin.

  10. learnlovegrow, that artist's rendition is using a clip from the Godzilla remake as the lizard thing, this film is so NOT going to be a Rampage film.

  11. Rampage was a comedy game where monsters got electrical shocks from toasters. A giant werewolf running around would be laughed off the screen -- the movie would bomb horribly.

  12. OK GUYS NEW INFO:

INFO 1: The Monster codenamed CloverfieldBeast has a green light on top of his head like that of a Angler Fish.

INFO 2: The girl in the video 2 that they are retraining(that was once thought to be being ripped apart) seems to be going to turn into some sort of creature

Ps: NOT RAMPAGE NOT A LION dont say anything like this again (you sound stupid)

I am just implying the werewolf's body in the artists rendition looks suspect, like the body in this youtube video of the monsters appearance in the second trailer, I am not suggesting that it's a werewolf in the movie. It is in my thought that the monsters face looks scary like a deep sea lantern fish or a Lamprey and it uses bioluminescence to get around and hunt.

  15. Yes learnlovegrow that was pretty smart if jj said this guy was gonna be insane he wouldnt just use his eyes to get around and attack. Probally a hunter like predator?

  17. I do the marketing for a Cinema in the UK and we do have the standee and some posters too. I will take a picture and try and get it uploaded. It's released Feb 1st here, but all the stuff just has 2008 wrote on it. Every keeps asking what the film '2008' is about LOL

  18. Anyone else notice that in that one picture of them holding the door back that the girl only has 2 claw marks on her? That third "scratch" should probably just be written off as environmentally caused because of it's size. But 2 claw marks? What kind of earthly creature only has 2 claw? And yes I've thought of it having more claws but only getting her with two, but how plausible is that. Those marks look pretty deep. If it had more claws then they should have hit as well. Suggestions, anyone?

  19. Well I had my first chance to go see the trailer in front of Beowulf tonight. I was very excited, paid my $8.00, and sat down early so I wouldn't miss anything. A few commercials and a trailer for Sweeney Todd and The Golden Compass passed, and then the damn movie started. No Cloverfield in the glorious city of Rome, GA, but the posters are all over the theater. Not to mention Beowulf was terribly done.

  20. I went to the movies to see the Heartbreak Kid (so funny!), and I saw the cardboard stands. It's basically the poster, but the Statue of Liberty is 3-D. No title on it, except, the date. Which is, for Australia I guess, 17-01-08. I ind that weird because the US normally get movies first. BUT, it was a printed, official poster, which the cinemas got just this week, or last.

  21. Elijah, the movie will probably be released at the same time in both countries, but since we're ahead of the Yanks we get it on our 17th.

  22. In the trailer, the girl's stomach/midsection definitely EXPANDS while with the dude's in the hazmat suits.

  24. The rampage-theory sounds real. look at the story of the rampage-game:
    www.rampagegame.com

in rampage, players take on the role of mutated giant monsters created by the unscrupulous scum labs coproation (operating under the cuise of a soft drink company.)....

    the "lizzie"-monster has three claws.

if this is the truth, i don't wanna see the movie...

  25. There's a cardboard standee of Cloverfield at the theater I work at here in Iowa, but it's just a flat picture, no "3D" piece sticking out or date stand at the bottom. Pretty lame.
