The official website for Cloverfield is CloverfieldMovie.com. Here is the site's description as provided by Yahoo:
Official site of the movie Cloverfield, the monster movie from producer J.J. Abrams and directed by Matt Reeves, in which the entire film is seen as the point of view from eye witnesses of the monstrous attacks on New York City.Paramount has released an official plot synopsis, which according to ShockTillYouDrop.com reads:
Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.
UPDATE: An "About The Film" link has been added, with the following description:

ReplyDeletewww.tagruato.jp
ReplyDeleteThe hacked image of Ganu was removed and the site seems to be temporarily closed with an exclamation point sign
I Know That they probably nothing to do with eachother but there is a game on Neopets.com called Jolly Jugglers Whcih players the EXACT (or very close to it) music that is on Slusho.jp. Here is the Link to the game:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.neopets.com/games/play.phtml?game_id=615
Will someone please check this out so i know i'm not insane?
I cant check that music out without signing up and logging in and junk. Someone else'll have to do it. chances r its coincidence anyway.
ReplyDeleteUm, that everythingisgoingtochange.com website is EXtremely creepy, its definetly not cloverfield, but the date they give is really close for viral advertising.
Can someone figure out what it is, id say its definetly advertising something, maybe a game or show.
i checked it out (with out signing in) and yeah it is the exact same tune. Though now that i look at both the slusho and the neopets site they have similar art styles.... could they be related.
ReplyDeletethe tune for jolly jugglers is very, very similar, but Neopets has nothing to do with Cloverfield. The site has been around for years and the person who made the music probably just got lazy and ripped it from the slusho site.
ReplyDeleteo, well, the page didnt load, sorry man.
ReplyDeleteNo one else noticed "monstrous attacks?" It's plural. That's weird because if there was just one monster it would be an attack. Unless the monster attacks, goes away to take a nap, and then returns to attack again. That way it would be attacks.

ReplyDeleteThe "everything" website has to be connected to "I Am Legend"; it opens on the 14th.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that the plot description says that the monster "descends" upon the city. From above perhaps? I flying monster?
ReplyDeleteBTW, for all you keeping track, the game at www.cluechaser.com is starting Dec 7th.
i read somewhere that neopets.com is owned my mad or sometin... not sure if that could be a connection
ReplyDeleteOk descends just means closes in, doesn't mean it's flying. I'm pretty sure the poster is clear enough explanation of the monster coming out of the water. As for multiple attacks I think the message at the beginning of the full trailer explains that New York is not the only attack
ReplyDeleteyes, everythingisgoingtochange.com is very creepy. awesomely creepy in fact. wouldn't it be awesome if that was for real tho, like, some kind of actual group was going to make drastic changes...somehow
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if im wrong but today is the 50 day mark!!
ReplyDeleteWhoh that Jolly Jugglers/Slusho song is oddly similar very strange. anyways pretty basic plot description. and is it 50 days? sweet!
ReplyDeletewhat's with the 50 day mark?
ReplyDeleteOn the Slusho site, whats the deal with the Hammer, the Oven mit and the cheese?
ReplyDeleteThey appear in a couple spots on the site? Anyone have any idea why?
Wow... The Jolly Jugglers music IS exactly like Slusho. I know Neopets couldn't have ripped the song, since Jolly Jugglers has been around far longer than Slusho, but I do know that Neopets has a page where you can download music for their games for free.. Or maybe they've recruited some Neopets people to help code the Slusho site or something?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if any of the other Slusho music is similar to a Neopets song. And if that matters.
EVERYTHINGISGOINGTOCHANGE.COM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CLOVERFIELD OR ANY MOVIE!!
ReplyDeleteIT IS ADVERTISING FOR A CHRISTIAN MINISTRY CONFERENCE IN DECEMBER.
jeeze.
tp must be zooming
ReplyDeletehey ean_mc....when i posted bout the 50 day mark i meant 50 days till 1-18-08.Sorry bout the confusion.
ReplyDeleteeverything is going to change is definetly not advertising for some christian bullcrap.
ReplyDeletesry man, but its too cool for that.
...not that i took the time to lissen to all of it.
oh...50 days...sweet!
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that everything is going to change was advertising for I Am Legend?
ReplyDeleteYou read that on one of these coments.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally off topic, but does anyone know what the japanese translates to on the back of the picture of the japanese guy holding a pan of food on 1-18-08.com?
ReplyDeletesearch through the topic archives (or wtvr) on this site, and ull quickly find a translation.
ReplyDeletethe only important part is seabed nectar.
Ok, now actually looking at the previous posts I see that, ha. Thanks. Well I find that theory better than the one about it being some Christian thing.
ReplyDeleteSlusho gets a mention in a college humor video:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.collegehumor.com/video:1782647
it's NOT a theory. go to their website here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.immersedconference.com/
also. I found out that it was a Christian Conference by clicking on the yellow dot that pops up, after the vids, on EverythingIsGoingToChange.com
and it took me to the website that I just posted (immersedconference.com)....
The movie does not appear to be told entirely from the POV of their video camera -- several shots in the new trailer don't jibe with that -- the scene in which the jets bomb the monster; the helicopter taking off as seen from the ground and then the copter spinning out of control from inside the copter.
ReplyDeleteAlso does not make sense because who would have sense enough -- in the situation at hand -- to have enough battery and tape to film for long enough?
It did come from above. During the movie we see snippets of a month earlier where beth and the other guy (sorry, i cant think of his name) are hanging out at coney island. This is very important because it relieves the tension in the play. While i was watching, i realised that these snippets were important. Look very closely at the last snippet and you will see in the very far right of the screen, in the backround, an object fall into the water. So it originally came from the sky! Did anyone else see this?
ReplyDeletep.s. if anyone can give me the name of a camera, and the accompanying film, that would film for 12 hours, then i would like to purchase it! Hahaha!
