I saw Beowulf (in 3D!) last night, but more importantly, I got to see the second trailer for Cloverfield in person. Wow!
The cast is announced in the credits: Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, Odette Yustman, Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T.J. Miller
Here is a slightly better quality video, that I have bumped up the gamma on, so you can see a little better in the dark scenes.
Also, check out this video, sent in by JFTeran: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qLjW1vQBLo
Also, click the Cloverfield picture above for for what appears to be the new poster (Thanks Jake!)
UPDATE: Click here for a complete transcript of the second trailer.
The "creatures" that are attacking the chick in the trailer look to instead be guys in "contam suits" as confirmed here:

Dennis,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting this - my job blocks UF here, so this is the only way I could access the trailer. I def want to see Beowulf! Thanks!
(dontlookmyage)
Yea, how was Beowulf? Worth it?
ReplyDelete(I want to see it in IMAX 3D... is it as "grand" as they claim?)
i have a suspision that if there is a "infection," it will evolve from slusho!, seeing as it is what might cause the monster.
ReplyDeletealso, i don't think that the monsters are humans, unless the infection is a true thing...

Dennis, what were your thoughts, seeing the trailer firsthand? Did you get a solid look at the monster on screen?
ReplyDeleteKevin
What am i looking at here?
ReplyDeletea enslaving the human race kind of thing?
or a total armageden thing?
or just a monster crazed on a slushy fruit juice from japan?
I think that we are looking at a pg-13 rating
ReplyDeleterated R movies dont make money
ps:just because you see no kids or teenagers for that matter doesnt mean it has to be a R movie

ReplyDeleteThis the real trailer! Just got back from Beowulf [amazingly beautiful movie, might I say] and the trailer was a lot better up close. Can't wait for this movie!
ReplyDeleteOK- there's the thing. first- there is obviously something gnarley about how this 'thing' impacts human beings, because of the suits. there are ocviously gnarley smaller creaters, because there are pcitres of them holding a door closed. the monster MAY not be human because if there were i don't see why there would be dead bodies (in the cairage). but i guess i'm assuming its a zombie situation.
