CloverfieldClues No Spoiler Policy

Between the 10 Cloverfield Lane movie premier last night, and the sneak previews tonight, a lot of people will have seen the movie before it officially opens this Friday.

This has caused comments here to drop to near zero, out of fear of getting spoiled.

We have a strict no-spoiler policy at Cloverfield Clues. I'll be seeing the movie tonight, so I may post a spoiler-free review, and of course I'll post any new ARG updates, but I promise I won't post ANY spoilers until everyone has had a fair chance to see it.

I hope you will do your part as well. Speculate all you want about the ARG or what's in the trailers, but if you have seen the movie, please DO NOT post any spoilers here in the comments.

I have turned off anonymous commenting and will be moderating ALL comments.

The good news is, that you should be able to continue posting your comments here without ANY worry of getting spoiled.

Unfortunately that mean you'll have to wait a little bit for your comments to show up, since the will need to get approved first, but I'll try to approve them ASAP.

JJ Abrams Mystery Box Edition of WIRED

The May issue of WIRED magazine recruited JJ Abrams as the guest editor. A year in the making, the "Mystery Issue" features a one-issue redesign directed by JJ, with mind-boggling puzzles on almost every page and hidden clues "that are not apparent at first or second glance."

This means that while many of the articles and puzzles are available online, you will need to get the magazine to get the full Easter egg experience.

Either way, be sure to check out the JJ Abrams article on mysteries and spoilers (spoiler alert: spoilers are bad, mkay?), and the "between-the-pages" interview below.

By the way, the "Mystery Box" on the cover refers to a very funny speech that Abrams gave at the TED conference in March 2007.

Cloverfield Review - Hollywood Elsewhere

Here is a another positive review for Cloverfield (and SPOILER-FREE!), from Jeffrey Wells at Hollywood-Elsewhere.com.

Cloverfield is a monster film unlike any other -- a complete original, but no less of a rock' em-sock 'em for that. It's amazing in that it's so short (by my watch about 74 minutes without credits), and yet so fierce ... This is not your father's Ray Harryhausen rampaging monster flick. Those movies, comparatively, were parlor dramas for the tame of mind. This movie is REM madness.

"CLOVERFIELD is worth the obsession"

Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News has posted his review of his early screening of Cloverfield. The good news is, he can't say enough good things about it!

Take all this with a grain of salt, as Slashfilm reports that Harry also gave Godzilla a glowing review...

Spoiler Free Zone

With less than a month to go until the release of Cloverfield, there is a growing concern that too much info will be revealed before the movie is released. There have been some alleged movie reviews around, and you may have noticed that I have not reported on them. I don't want Cloverfield to be "spoiled" for myself, or for anyone else, so I want to declare CloverfieldClues a spoiler-free zone.

I will not report on any "leaked" information about the movie or the monster.

I want everyone visiting my site to feel safe that they can still keep up with the latest movie news and "game" developments, and not have worry about spoilers.
