Tagruato Update - Road Closure

The Tagruato website was updated again today, with an image of an Israeli news article from 1/30/2007 which, according to Redditors snirOP & AlphaFalccon, discusses a road being closed for several weeks.

Scrawled across the article is another warning message from TIDO Wave:

TAGRUATO'S REAL REASON TO STEAL THE REST OF THE WORLD'S ENERGY. THEY'VE SPENT TWENTY YEARS (????) TO OPEN IT. NO MATTER THE COST TO THE WORLD.

Tagruato Update - Cloverfield Energy Initiative

The Tagruato.jp website has been updated again, with another new error message.

The latest memo talks about "The Cloverfield Energy Initiative", which will reshape "the way we power the world". Whatever this project is, someone is trying to stop it (TIDO Wave?).

There is a warning message scrawled across the tap which might read (according to DamienJohn of Reddit):
SOMEONE MUST STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING! THIS IS NOTHING BUT A COVER FOR A RECKLESS EXPERIMENT THAT WILL RESET THE WORLD'S GRID. STOP THIS TO SAVE THE WORLD.

Alyse Is Missing Teddy Hanssen

A new comment by MissingTeddyHanssen was posted on the TidoWave website:

That’s what I thought. You’re pathetic. And if you think I’m giving up on my brother you’re stupider than I gave you credit for. Anyone who’s tired of being lied to should come to my blog. We have to stick together. There are more people out there affected by this. I can’t be the only one.
If you head over to MissingTeddyHanssen.blogspot.com, you'll find the blog of Teddy's sister - Alyse Hanssen. If the dates on the site are to be believed, this has been around for a few weeks.

There are quite a few interesting posts documenting her search for Teddy. She has the 'Missing' photo from 1-18-08.com on her site, but it's a little bigger, and the file name is different - oudnaniehg.jpg. I checked for an obvious anagram, but didn't see anything. If you view Alyse's profile, there is an email address to contact her.

Well, what do you think?

TidoWave - No Help Coming

TidoWave.com MissingTeddyHanssen CloverfieldThere is a ominous new message posted on Tidowave.com:

To MissingTeddyHanssen.

There’s no help coming. Stop your campaign.

There’s nothing here.

Is this the work of Tagruato? Have they finally defeated their enemy?

Also, is there a MissingTeddyHanssen campaign we don't know about? There was a comment in the previous blog post from someone named MissingTeddyHanssen:
Where are these “fearless, brave warriors” I heard about? No one answers my calls. No one answers their doors. My brother is still out there somewhere and you guys couldn’t care less about him. Some friends you are. If it wasn’t for your freakish, cult mind-games he’d still be here with me. This is all your fault!!! You cowards! I hope you’re all rotting away somewhere!
The comments have generally been considered OOG, because they appear to be user-submitted. Could this be an exception?

* Thanks to Lew for emailing me about this!

TidoWave.com Sword update

The TidoWave.com site has received it's sword, meaning every Cloverfield related site has been 'hacked', including this one (how did they do that? ;). But why, and by who (whom?)

TidoWave - Locked

The TidoWave website has been locked by the 'Internal Affairs Department', presumably for allegedly destroying the Chuai station and attacking Ganu Yoshida.

I get a mirror of the old site up ASAP.

TidoWave - Horns Down

TidoWave has a new blog post today.
Horns down. If we go quiet, it won’t be permanent. May the great mother protect her servants in their greatest time of need. She guides our hands.
Does this mean they are giving up... or preparing for war?

TidoWave - Laying Low

TidoWave has a new blog post today.

We’ve been laying low (those hunters are after us) but I’m sure everyone’s seen the latest drool about that putrid drink. Wake up, America’s heartland!! Ganu shouldn’t be allowed to sell anything without FDA approval. This is just another of Tagruato’s many lies. First they murdered their own workers, then they spilled their death-station into our ocean. Now they’re trying to put their garbage inside all of us…

But we’re not saying anything that hasn’t been said before. Our loyal members know the truth about Slusho. And it’s those members who are going to bring about the change.

I don’t know how people keep falling for Tagruato’s constant deception….maybe it’s Ganu….maybe everything lies with him?

We're still waiting to hear from Janice... are we missing something that might already be out there?

* Thanks to Ty, Kate, and Travis for emailing me!

TidoWave - Tagruato Raid

TidoWave has a new blog post, and things have gone from bad to worse:
Do NOT return to The Farm. It’s crawling with agents on Tagruato’s payroll.

It’s a set up!!! All of our members know our goals and motivations are preservation of Mother Earth - NOT mass murder!!! Granted, we’re not upset that Tagruato has one fewer “death station”, but we would NEVER kill to accomplish our goals. This is yet another crime on humanity that Tagruato is trying to push off on the innocent.

And let me be clear: we will not stop until we find our missing brothers and sisters. We can’t give up hope.

Wait for Janice’s picture. Then you’ll know where to meet us. Tagruato’s lies will not go unpunished this time. Something happened to our comrades – and that station - and we’re going to find out - even if we have to go all the way to the top!!!

BTW, didn't Jamie mention something about a "moo cow who lives on a farm"

* Thanks to Tom H. who emailed me about this first!

TidoWave - Chuai Station Missing

TidoWave has a new blog post, answering the question of what happened at "the event":
January 01, 2008

As many of you know, we returned from our journey late last night. There are already more rumors going around than I’d like, so I want to set the record a little straighter before all of us go crazy.
Yes, we had the coordinates correct. There’s no possibility that we weren’t in the right spot. But there was simply nothing there. No debri, no clues, no anything. Just ocean. And calls to our comrades got nothing but static. This doesn’t mean that we’re giving up - exactly the opposite. Something went on out there. A mess too big for Tagruato to wipe up with their handfuls of money. People are going to want to know what happened to that station. And we’re going to find out.
Was the station ever there, or has it disappeared? If it is missing, could this be a Tagruato cover up, or the work of the Monster!?!?!

* Thanks to Carlos, Alex, Theos, Treefrog19, Matt S., and Dr. Rob for emailing me!
** BTW, my internet is down again, but I'll do my best to keep everything up-to-date!

TidoWave - Problem with the "event"

TidoWave.com added a new blog entry:

I don’t know what to say. They told me to post here. I’ve never done this before.

Um…..things are not going as planned. There has been a problem with the “event”. Please contact me if you have any information on Randy or the others. I’m the only one here right now. Backup desperately needed.

I guess Jamie won't be getting a call from Randy.

* Thanks to Raul for emailing me this first!

TidoWave Updated

The TidoWave website added three new posts:

December “Tip for the Field”
Flower Donations
Call To Action

Randy is mentioned in the "Call To Action" post.

* Thanks to Teap for emailing about this!

Randy works for TidoWave

It looks like the "Randy" mentioned in Jamie's last video works for TidoWave.

Although you can't see it directly on the TidoWave site, if you look at the RSS feed for TidoWave, it shows that the creator of the two most recent posts is Randy.

I think this probably confirms that Teddy was working for Tidowave as well.

BTW, if you use IE to look at the RSS feed, it shows name of the creator. However, if you use Firefox, you'll have to look in the source code to see it. Look for:
<dc:creator>randy</dc:creator>

TidoWave Cruel-etin Board

Here are the "Cruel-etin" board posts from the TidoWave website. They paint Tagruato in a bad light, but they sound a little off the deep end themselves...

Noise Pollution Effects Humpbacks
Underwater, sound can carry for many miles. Whales and other ocean creatures depend on sound for communication, warnings of danger, and to orient themselves as they traverse the seas. During Tagruato’s construction of the Chuai drilling station in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, ubiquitous sound pollution pierced the waters for over a year. Hundreds of humpback whales returning from the tropical climates they had migrated to for the winter were scared and confused by the strange noises. The whales were forced to divert themselves and their calves from established migration routes they had been using for generations. Many starved to death before they could reach the feeding waters.

Tagruato denies any responsibility for attributing to the already dwindling population.

Unique Fauna On The Brink
The Sunda Anemone has called the northeastern Indian Ocean home since long before mankind as we know it came into existence. Their delicate anatomy was meticulously crafted over millions of generations, specifically suited for survival in the unique deep ocean environment in which they prospered. Rare and beautiful, the cnidarians enjoyed a peaceful existence. That is, until Tagruato came to town.

By constructing the Itoku Drilling Station in the Java Trench, Tagruato has pushed the Sunda Anemone to the brink of extinction*! Extinction, people! We’re talking about the eradication of an innocent ocean dweller, and for what? A few more barrels of Earth Blood?! Will you be able to look your child in the eye when they ask you what happened to the Sunda Anemone and explain to them that you needed to power your John Deere?! You shouldn’t even be cutting your lawn! Let the grass grow as long as Mother Earth intended!

We contacted Tagruato spokeswoman Suzume Soga, reasonably demanding a complete deconstruction of the station, as well as bearing financial responsibility for the rehabilitation of the species. Soga responded with, “No comment.” Our associate claims she had a general tone of indifference. Indifference to extinction?! Deplorable. Add this to the growing list of reasons why, in the end, Tagruato will pay for its evil ways.

* as projected by our species experts

Tagruato History Fun Fact #42
1961 - 力の手 attempts to buy out a small, family owned and operated mining outfit in Honshu. The head of the outfit staunchly refuses, and soon winds up dead. Foul play was suspected, but never proven. The dead man inexplicably changed his mind about the sale the night before his death, leaving behind instructions to sell the company to 力の手.

Tagruato History Fun Fact #18
1981 - 力の手 is accused of operating a factory in India employing dozens of child laborers - some no older than 10 years old, working 70 hours a week for wages far below legal standards. The factory is quickly shut down, and company officials claim ignorance, blaming ‘outsourced management’. Suspicion was rampant of similar child labor transgressions in other 力の手 facilities around the world. Amid the India debacle, dozens of other plants shut their doors, reopening weeks later with newly hired staffs of legal workers.

To this day, we believe Tagruato does not hesitate to boost their bottom line by employing underage, underpaid workers.

Tagruato History Fun Fact #33
1986 - 力の手 is caught illegally dumping thousands of gallons of industrial waste into the Tokyo Bay - less than a mile away from Kujūkuri Beach, one of Japan’s most popular swimming and surf destinations.

TidoWave.com

The clues in the Tagruato hack have been solved, leading to a new site - TidoWave.com. If you recall, five items were numbered in the hacked picture. Taking the first letter of each four, and adding it to wave gives you the address of the new site. It seems so simple now! ;)

I have an mirror of the hacked site here: http://tagruato.cloverfieldclues.com/hacked.htm

The T.I.D.O. Wave website is a front for an environmental activist group called Les Guerriers de Mère-Terre (The Warriors of Mother Earth). LGMT was founded by notorious conservationist Les Bandit Vert (The Green Bandit).

One thing cleared up right away is about the funeral, and mysterious death of Kazui Ichigawa.

There is a lot to explore, so check out the new site, and let me know what you find.

* Thanks to everyone for emailing me about this, especially Junior/R4ph43L who emailed me first, and to Eliss at Unfiction for finding the site!
