New Slusho Happy Talk

The Slusho Happy Talk page has been updated.

All of the saying have been replaced with new ones. There are no new characters, but one interesting note in the code is that the Jellyfish has been renamed to Squid.

It seems very likely that all of theses comments are fan submitted (based on the numerous spelling errors), so I wouldn't put too much weight behind their meaning.

However, here are some interesting links for Bloop and the River Thames Whale.

Here are all of the new saying:
  • Slusho!, thanks for bringing joy to my family's life. But what are you all about?
  • Slusho is a happy time. I like it. I like it. Uh Huh.
  • How do I get some of that tasty Slusho? I'm so excited to create my OWN amanzing flavor combinations!!!
  • BLOOP!
  • This all is very mysterious. Slusho frightens me, but at the same time I want to drink 6 and be the whale.
  • I Slushoed myself!
  • Slusho! the world!
  • Have you thought about a apple or watermelon flavor slusho?
  • Is there a whale flavored slusho!?
  • Hello SLUSHO!!! Your drink is wonderful!! Such great water, with much power, it makes me zoom! SLUSHO!! Will make all the people, fish, donkey, and frog very happy!!!
  • Strawberry and bluberry are my favorites!
  • You guys rock I am a whale!"
  • Like the whale that swam up the Thames river .... we want SLUSHO here in London
  • Thanks for a GREAT night!!!
* Thanks to CloverfieldNews.com, who had the scoop on everyone!

  2. i think that a Cthulhu like monster has now been confirmed...and maybe this is happening all over the world, i.e. the Thames river...seems like the entire world is breaking down...or at least all the cities near the ocean

  5. The whale swimming up the Thames was a real-life thing, and that comment was probably a user-posted one. The whale in London was a year or two ago and was on the news for a few days all the time.

I dont think it's Cthulu. Im 100% its not Cthulu. Theres a Cthulu film next month. Its obviously a Leviathian monster, we can tell that by just looking at what we have already, maybe its Cthulu-esque but wont be Cthulu.

The tracks in the water are an obvious sign and i think me and DeD had some good ideas how the Slusho! secret ingredient ties in with the monster

  6. The Book Of Revelations
    Chapter 13
    Verses 1-18

    1) And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

    2) And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

    3) And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

    4) And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

    5) And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

    6) And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

    7) And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

    8) And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

    9) If any man have an ear, let him hear.

    10) He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

    11) And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

    12) And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

    13) And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

    14) And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

    15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

    16) And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

    17) And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

    18) Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

  7. So only one person figured out the forum within that site I posted last night ?

I believe that site is the official one from the movie.

The forum within contains characters of the movie and their myspace links.

Also it's like a role playing game where you play along to the story that leads to the event of January 18, 2008.

So far there's only 18 members. 16 of which are characters from the movie and admins.

I also believe that the characters are bots that replies to posts that have reviled specific clues. For example I told Robby to try slusho when he gets to Hakkaido and he replied 20 minutes later (that was past midnight btw) 'do they serve them on the luxury train?'.

    Characters in the movie:
Robby, Beth, JJ, Jamie, Hudson, Lily, Marlena. So far I have gathered JJ and Robby are brothers. JJ and Lily are a couple.

So figure it out and come on the 'official' chat forum. It's no fun playing around with the admins on there.

  8. Wesny11...
    I "figured it out"... http://www.warbloid.com/ganu.

That site is a gamejack. It is obvious that it is NOT an official site - the domain was registered in 2006.

Everything you have gathered can be found on the official Cloverfield MySpace pages.

  9. Wesny11 - What's warbloid.com all about - no one can figure it out and it appears there's nothing there anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Its fake.

Ive heard of Warbloid somewhere before i just cant think what.. might have been in the LOST ARG. Theres nothing there. He's just hi-jacking the game

  12. Here's some info. on the project that you guys probably already know, but maybe not. This link came from a USA Today blog.

  13. Thanks for the link. :)

    meh.

I get emails every day from someone claiming to be an "inside source".

I've seen this rumor before. It looks like a good way for Dread Central to drum up some traffic.

  14. Hundreds of small monsters wont make an iconic movie.

    "Its Huge, Its Alive"

    not

"They're Small, There are loads of them"

    ReplyDelete
  15. Unless they were small robot lions that combined into a giant robot :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. That would be the *obvious* reason and obviously exactly what the monster is.... but where can we find something that is several small robot lions that combine into a giant robot, that will be big in Japan? I sure as hell cant think of anything..

  17. The Lion King III: Simba's Revenge?? ;-)

  18. That Bloop actually kinda sounds like the waaaah-woooon-waaaah of the monster, if the monster was under water. Neat though... didn't really remember the Bloop thing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Did you read the wiki article on the Bloop sound?

    ReplyDelete
  20. How would this monster get from the west side of south america to NY?

    ReplyDelete
  21. My guess is that it travelled through those little amounts of water that take up 2/3 of the Earth :p

Its huge.. and could travel that far after a while.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The movie is a remake or heavily based on Jack & The Beanstalk. The monster isn't a monster, it's a GIANT!! The secret sea ingredients are BEANS and the giant has awaken..

  23. New anagram for "You can't drink just six"

    "its toxic, jaunty drunks"

jaunty drunks is a common way to say "cheerful" drunks.

  24. another thing...

anyone ever notice the straight edge always drawn on the top left edge of the slusho cup. It seems intentional; its present on all the different instances of the cup.

it looks like a piece of the cups lip was chipped off?

  25. Mehi think its just the way the slush has been arranged to give the 3d look kinda.. i dunno

  26. Okay I just found this out tonight, it's probably been discussed already but if it hasn't...

The Slusho Happy Talk page has been updated. All of the sayings have been replaced with new ones. One of which is "Bloop" If you don't know what the "Bloop" is here goes.....

The "Bloop" is the name given to an ultra-low frequency underwater sound detected by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration several times during the summer of 1997. The source of the sound remains unknown.

The above was taken from the "Bloop" page on wikipedia. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop) And then near the bottom of the very same page I found this information.

The site of the Bloop is remarkably close to the site of the fictional city of R'lyeh from H. P. Lovecraft's 1926 short story "The Call of Cthulhu", where an ancient undersea monster (Cthulhu) lies sleeping. Lovecraft said that R'lyeh is located at [show location on an interactive map] 47°9′S, 123°43′W in the southern Pacific Ocean, with the bloop also being targeted somewhere in that range [1].

  27. I see a lot of you guys are talking about these game jack sites. But you are missing something. If you have seen the picture of JJ Abrams with his Slusho T shirt on, that pic was taken during the first season of Lost while they were editing. So that had to be taken 2 years ago. I'm with wesny11 I think the warbloid site might be legit. I think you are selling out to a bunch of gamers who really don't care about the movie and just trash whatever comes. Who care if the site was bought in 2006 JJ was wearing the t shirt way before that.

  29. Jon.. Dont be silly. Warbloid couldnt be more fake... in fact im sure that that site tried to gamejack The Lost Experience. But yeah, its the most unsophisticated gamejack website ive ever seen couldnt be more OOG. Oh and stop making multiple accounts Wesny :p

    ReplyDelete
  30. So you still think warbloid is fake ?

Sorry that I have shared that information with you.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Jon, good point, but keep in mind that Slusho wasn't something JJ just invented for Cloverfield.

He used it in "Alias" as well. Two of the "Alias" characters drink Slusho in season one.

  32. Something interesting I noticed:

In the meta tag of slusho.jp/index.html we find:

meta name="keywords" content="Slusho, water, zoom, happy, power, fish, donkey, frog"

Those are the key words that search engines use so that you can find web-pages.

One of the quotes on the "HAPPY TALK" page says, "Hello SLUSHO!!! Your drink is wonderful!! Such great water, with much power, it makes me zoom! SLUSHO!! Will make all the people, fish, donkey, and frog very happy!!!"

That quote is the only other chunk of text on the entire website that uses every single word also found in the meta tag.

I seriously doubt that the quotes are really generated from random users because they are all punctuated similarly. If these quotes were user-submitted text they would all be uniquely riddled with spelling and grammar errors, including a lot of "internet lingo" such as "u r teh koolness" "dude, wtf? slusho is 2 good!!!1!"

I've also noticed some interesting things in regard to file names, numbers, etc. Might post about it later.

  33. HAve you checked «bloop»? i saw on wikipedia that it was a sound heard on 1997 while recording underwater sounds at the ocean.
