Tagruato Hacked Again!

Tagruato was hacked again. Same hack, different day. Maybe there is something we are missing...

I still have the mirror of the unhacked Tagruato site here: http://tagruato.cloverfieldclues.com/

UPDATE: The site was restored again.

  1. I wonder if this is the same person that did it before... Aspidochelone and "The Effect"... oooh scary! lol

  2. About Tagruato's first satellite:
For sure we will have some clues on Google Earth! Keep your eyes open near NY... What do you think about this? Search in Google Earth for Latitude 39°47'5.06"N and Longitude 66°13'52.37"O.

  3. Hmmm, maybe we didn't get enough of what we were supposed to get out of it the first time around? Or, they need some help from Persephone. :-)

  4. just a thought but the "deep sea digging in the trenches thing"... this is leading to ppl believing that it might be a giant sea creature (i.e. turtle), but what if the trench was created by something coming from space that went to a state of stasis, and then was awakened by the drilling?

  5. WOW... that's so farfetched that it could very well be TRUE. Talk about a twist. That would be sweet.

  6. i dunno. the taranurtle idea sounds good to me lol. but seriously if the lady is sploden into something maybe its thousands of little baby somethings. just like in the urban legend about the exploding cactus. only with people. and some sort of nonarachnid

  7. the effect isn't anything. if you go to that blog & click on the about us or whatever, it's a blog someone just put up thinking it would become useful someday. they also specifically say they are not responsible for that attack over thanksgiving.

  8. you're right (i'm a dumbass)... so what exactly are we supposed to get out of this the second time around? did we miss something?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I still can't see the roman numerals. But I also can't bring up Tinypic links at work (stupid filters).

    ReplyDelete
  10. Just a though here but all of the added and alerted features have roman numerals except for the man in the window. Also I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but a reflection of the man seems to have been drawn in left of his head. Maybe something was missed? Just thinking out loud.

  11. alright so theres I, II, III, IV and LV. giving 1, 2, 3, 4 and 55. maybe that has something to do with all this? coordinates or something? i dunno just a thought.

  14. Ok couple things I noticed that I haven't seen anything about before. There is a face in the tidal wave up near the top corner. There are two jelly fish one on top of the other. Don't really think the multiple jellyfish matter.

  19. All I can find is a definite number '2' just to the right of the dumbo octopus. It's almost at it's eye level. (I lightened the picture to see it.)

    ReplyDelete
  20. maybe the waves want they want us seeing. maybe it all has to do with the crab.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I+II+III+IV+LV=LXV
    1+2+3+4+55=65

maybe that has something to do with something?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Guys when Tagruato was first hacked i saw what i htought was the statue of liberty's head like almost right in from of the wave.

I take 100% credit for this find.

    ReplyDelete
  23. look in the wave LV. in roman numerals according to google thats 55

    ReplyDelete
  24. thats not LV its water a part of the wave

    ReplyDelete
  25. ah well. its still something though. im just pullin at strings lookin for stuff.

  26. im guessing we will get something big in the heroes finale...like Really big...i cant imagine what though...im thinking something along the lines of what happened at comic-con for the lost experience with the whole hansoexposed...maybe our tv's get hacked by the rebels... isn't teddy's gift opened on the day of the finale?

ok thats my rant for this period...i'll be back with more crap that is probably completely irrelevant very soon

  27. no i just saw its opened on the ninth

  28. The Book of Enoch, chapters I, II, III, IV and LXV. A few familar themes and devices can be found.

  29. just meandered over to the cloverfield discussion part of wikipedia. and theres quite a bit of argueing over whether tarugato is legit. even after slusho links to it.

slusho is mentioned in the 1993 pink panther show according to wiki.

absolutly nothing to do with this post but thought id mention it anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  30. dont say that z...that would suck soooo bad

    ReplyDelete
  31. Haven't seen this anywhere, but if you zoom in on HIS right shoulder {left side in the pic). I can make out the word "crab" and what looks like something underneath it.
Maybe someone with some better imageing software can see what else is written there. maybe this is what's next. I don't think it was missed, I think it's new. Tagruato had to go back up to get out the satellite info.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Has any of you ever seen the cartoon named PINKY AND SLUSHO ???

I only know it was released in 1993 and that JJ ABRAMS has 3 children with the woman he married in 1996

Could he saw this cartoon for hundreds then inspired himself with this character named SLUSHO for creating his beast !?????

Don't forget he'd like to sell toys of his monster like japanese do with Godzilla ;-) !

  33. Is anyone (this means you, programmers!) aware of any software that could cycle through this URL:

  38. Matt, i had a look.
That part of shoulder has definitely been added by the hackers, it doesn't fit with the original pic of ganu.
    Not sure it's "crab".
It could be "ciao", an Italian word but maybe it's just my nationality convincing me it's "ciao".
I wasn't able to read anything else.
I compared the pics of the hacking attacks.
    it's just the same pic.
    Vince

    ReplyDelete
  39. oh, and can somebody put up a decent resolution photo of the first attack so it can be compared to this new one? I didn't save a copy of the first one... (I'm looking at you Vince/everlastinggaze ;-)

  43. clearly, my observational skills aren't up to par. thanks brat!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I see the number 2 next to the octopus too... maybe we have the numerical order messed up and that's why the site was "hacked" again? Or was this already discussed... sorry I'm kind of new here!

    ReplyDelete
  45. maybe we have to build the monster with the 3 creatures...in order....

    ReplyDelete
  46. like rotate the octopus and looks like it could almost be the head somewhat...

    ReplyDelete
  47. sorry john, but i'm not able to put the old pic online, my connection is a little slow. however there should be the pic in the first attack's topic

    ReplyDelete
  48. it looks like there is the face of a joker on the wave.

    ReplyDelete
  49. SO... I went to check it out and I guess its back up?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Just an interesting observation, but as a Japanese company, I find it odd that the website will ONLY open when English is selected. I suppose this has to do with this being an American-based movie with the purposes of viral marketing for English speaking natives. Still, just found it interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  51. They are definitely watching our movements on the site. They are using Google Urchin Tracker, which tracks our clicks on the site and such.

On the site source code, there is an image called "whale breaching ocean surface" and other interesting things.

I am really starting to think it's a mutant whale. A lot of the stuff on the Slusho site refers to whales, they seem to be the link in every site.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Has anyone looked over the investment publications on the tagrato site? They have quarterly reports from as early as 05. They might have something hidden in them?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Never mind. The files won't open. It just refreshes the page.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Does anyone have a pic of what the "re-hacked" site looked like? By the time I got home from work it was already fixed..what was the point of that? Do you suppose it was an actual hack, a mistake, or just a quickie to bring us back for more?

    ReplyDelete
  55. It looked the same as when it was hacked before: http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2007/11/tagruato-website-hacked.html

zurcher said... alright so theres I, II, III, IV and LV. giving 1, 2, 3, 4 and 55. maybe that has something to do with all this? coordinates or something? i dunno just a thought.

    It's not LV, it's just V, as in 5.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I seriously think that these "hacks" are not part of Paramount's Viral marketing plan. I think this is someone on the outside hacking the site. I think it's really unusual that the Tagruato site did not make any statements against the hackers or any type of media release.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Has anyone thought of the fact that it just might be the hackers attacking again since they got the site back up... prehaps there is nothing new.... just a war going on between the hackers and the web master.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Or it's an inside job.

I think the "hack" is definitely in-game. I'm sure some anti-Tagruato person will reveal themselves soon.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  60. I think Tagruato may not acknowledge the hacks at all. It sounds as though Yoshida is a pretty prideful hardass (he launched the satellite even though the conditions were bad, remember?). I wonder if we'll get to find a real "Effect" site soon.

    ReplyDelete
  61. just waiting for about another week

    ReplyDelete
  62. I thought the "letter" in the waves looked like a 6. Anyone else see it? It's lighter, almost white in the water near the top left.

    ReplyDelete
  63. My theory: (Sorry if it reminds you of the LOST ARG, but let's face it, there are similarities) (And sorry for the super long post, and if it has already been posted I'm sorry, but I only look at this site for updates and I didn't see anything that related to this)

The point behind hacking the website is to expose and stop Tagruato. Clues can be seen in the photo, mainly the numbers one-five associated with the major points of the picture (the four animals and the wave). The point of hiding clues in the picture is to lead a reader to more information that is hidden (so Tagruato doesn't find the info outright and bury it). Also, the fact that the site was rehacked with the same image leads me to believe that we are supposed to take those clues and put them to use to "unlock" the next step.

So, it got me to thinking. With the overall theme of the picture being ocean, ocean life, Ganu being evil, and the title of the site being changed to "Tagruato is Destroying Our Oceans", it would seem the hackers are upset about HOW Tagruato is destroying the oceans... THE DEEP SEA DRILLING!

And we just happen to have a nice interactive map of each deep sea drilling site Tagruato is operating.

What if the clues the hackers left in the photo are the key to interacting with the drilling map to unlock more information?

Now the fun part (and the part that has been keeping me from World of Warcraft for the last two hours sense I thought of this). The only way to interact with the map is to click on station locations, so logically I thought the numbers 1-5, we have to click on 5 stations in order. My first guess was to find which station fits the best in relation to where each animal lives.

    1. The tanner crab - Bering Sea (acording to wikipedia), Closest station is Kosho Station.
    2. Irukandji Jelly - Australia. Only problem is I can only find reports of them on the NW side of the continent. Sujin and Itoku station are on the E side. Either might work...
    3. Dumbo Octopus - I have no idea. No real mention is given to its location except the N and S Atlantic, The N and S Pacific, and in one case, the E Tropical Pacific. Sense we have nothing in the Pacific Ocean, and I wouldn't call Suinin and Jimmu station near Japan "tropical", we are left with Korei, Chuai, Kaika, Keiko, and Kogen.
    4. Orge Fish - Two families fit this fish, the Anoplogaster Cornuta found world wide (not helpful to pick for leaving clues), and the Anoplogaster Brachycera, found in tropical waters of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Again, no stations in tropical Pacific, so best fit I can see is Kaika Station.
    5. The Wave - This really could be any site. I wouldn't rule out any site at this time... but the only site I can see that is different is... you guessed it, Chuai Station, that elusive station that was supposed to open in September, but no news to it's opening, or delay in opening has been mentioned... and assuming the monster comes from one of these stations, and it is a safe bet to assume nothing was discovered at Kaika Station in Puerto Rico sense it opened in '95... the monster comes from Chuai Station!

Now, with my expert math skills I aquired through public schools and crummy SFSU... taking into account all doubts I have about any of my guesses, and assuming that each station might need to be clicked multiple times in the 5 station sequence... I calculated there only to be 1X2X5X1X14=140 possible combinations to click in order to fully test the theory as I have narrowed it down.

I know its a lot of grasping, but I really think the picture was reposted because no one figured out the clues to unlock the next step in the game (as far as I can tell no one did).
*Grabs a rockstar* I'll check back in a few hours.

(Sorry for the long post Dennis).

  64. Hello
Go and have a look on wikipedia, type "cryptobiosis". There are two very interesting animals, that can resist almost anything (dessication, high temperatures, extreme heat), and come back to life in some conditions. The most common species are the tardigrade, or "water-bear", and a small shrimp nicknamed the sea-monkey. You'll find interesting pictures on wikipedia.
I forgot, another detail, they are found in sea bed sediments, and a bear and a monkey appear on the slusho site.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I win the award for grasping this morning, I added up all the EURR
totlals for all the drill stations
on Tagruato site map and came up with
79.19. Of course there's no data on
the Chuia station. With a small production since September, Chuia
could have just enough to equal 80. The number 8-0 or 0-8 keeps coming through?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Another animal, found on the same wikipedia article: the nématode (a worm). there's an excerpt:
"Further, there are a great many parasitic forms, including pathogens in most plants, animals, and also in humans."

    ReplyDelete
  67. Then have a look at the trichinosis, and it's effects on human health.
I believe that these animals, in bigger proportions, could provide an interesting explanation to the small monsters.

    ReplyDelete
  68. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Portals/3/publications/newsletter/fall2004.pdf

Control: In small areas, hand pulling
of first year plants when the roots are small can be quite effective. In larger areas, prescribed burning for two or more consecutive years has been effective in reducing populations of
white and yellow sweet-clover. However, burning in only one year tends to increase populations. Spraying with systemic herbicides can be effective. Care must be taken to prevent over-spray to non-target species.

How about cloverfield is the new name for Central Park, not the sea bed? This article states how resilient clover is and how it increases after a burn. Central Park burns due to fire,
up comes a field of clover?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Here are the links to these animals' pictures. The most impressive, in bigger proportions, would be the tardigrade (the first one)

  74. We are not posting facts about the movie
based on wiki. There are no facts about the movie anywhere until we actually sit down and watch the movie in January. The pix and info on
wiki, in most cases have footnotes at
the bottom of the page. If you want
to research those references go ahead. This is not an academic class where we have to write a paper---It's a movie--a movie that once everyone that wants to see it has seen it, we will forget about it and find something else to get all
    fired up about.

    ReplyDelete
  75. People watch the articles on Wikipedia very closely for tampering or false information.

It's far more reliable than any other site out there, unless you'd prefer to find a verified research article for us (which as Tom said, are sourced on the bottom of most Wiki articles)?

Cheers, and keep up with the wonderful updates <3

  76. About the great idea about clicking on the Oil Rigs in a certain order and not knowing about the one for th wave - I've had a few ideas:
    1) As it is supposedly the The Great Wave of Kanagawa in the photo, then coudln't the rig to click on be the one nearest Mount Fuju?

    2) Could it be linked to the latest natural tsunami/hurracane etc.? Perhaps the one nearest New Orleans or India?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ok here is my theory. The slusho site is all about the number 6. Many people believed that it had some sort of religious conotation. Deep Sea drilling and a talk about whales have brought me to the conclusion that it is going to have something to do with a grey whale. Also known as the devil fish. IDK, what do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Very likely.

I'm just wondering whether Abrams is leading us on a Wild Goose (or Monster) Chase, hoping for us to think it's water related (I sure hope not though).

  84. Those pictures just seem like they layered everything with either a multiply or a 90% opacity.

The ground outside the window also looks like they just mirrored the on side to make it look longer than it really is, and they just didn't fill in the middle.

What is that ground a copy from though?

Anyone else notice the buildings in the background are the ones from the poster with the wake of water going twards the city.

  85. Master Fetty:
    1. That was one thing I thought about last night. Supporting evidence for that is the closest station. Jimmu Station, is also the starting station (the default station selected) when the map loads... kinda interesting.

    2. Hadn't thought about that idea. I don't think any of the stations can be considered close to India... and the closest to New Orleans would be Kaika Station, really the only station that I found would fit for the fish...

I don't know... I really want to find like a world map for each animal with the range of their habitat highlighted... but couldn't find anything last night.

    Jbgbc:
Number six... maybe the number six in our chain... Maybe our drilling map sequence has six stations to be clicked, the six being the station the special ingredient in Slusho!.

    tom:
I love the idea. I was considering emailed Green Peace because I know how much they LOVE ocean drilling, but PETA would be a great group to email as well...
I also agree it has been too short of a time to get any real results from the station, but you would think we would have seen an article in the headline section announcing the opening. I mean, they posted about bring Slusho to an old folks home and a pet shop place... this company is hungry for good publicity.
