Best Week Ever for Cloverfield / 1-18-08

Someone TheBookPolice mentioned that Cloverfield / 1-18-08 was mentioned on VH1's Best Week Ever, so I Tivo'd it, Archos'd it, and put it on YouTube.

If there's anything that JJ Abrams taught us with LOST,
it's that "Everything means something".

  4. Denis, I sent you an email about an intresting article. Saying that this movie is an alien atack on NYC. And it explains the very begging of the movie.

    This is the link: http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/07/16/cloverfield-1-18-08-updates-coney-island-flashback-and-set-photos/

  7. To the one guy in the video...

You don't have to watch LOST for two more seasons...

You have the pleasure of being allowed to watch three more..lol

    CRMARBLE,
We don't know what happened moments before the explosion, for all we know this could be a high orbit attack and we are only seeing the effect of that attack because the camera wasn't pointed in that direction.

  8. I've been thinking abouut it over and over, I'm convinced I know what this movie is all about. What if it's a movie adaptation of the hit 80's Video game Space Invaders?? Huh Huh??!?

The idea came to me when some lady asked for a Space Invaders scratch ticket from th NJ Lottery! HMMM.... I like that idea.

  9. If it's true that "everything means something" the only thing I got out of that was one of the guys said "people are setting up sites believing they're JJ Abrams sites" and the video showed "Ethan Haas was right".

  10. yeah, which shows the ethan haas crap isn't related.

  11. Ok guys. Gotta check this out:

Google the words: Coney Island Flashback and Set Photos

    Click on the first results.

Paramount has confirmed to the NewYork Post, this movie is about an ALIEN ATTACK.

  12. Paramount has not confirmed a thing about an alien attack. A yahoo park owner has speculated.

Also, a 17 foot long, twenty ton iron head does not fly two miles sideways in an alien attack from *above*, and alien spaceships do not "moan."

But in a way it is the attack of one alien, a la Spielberg's goofy Welles adaptation.

  13. i agree. some knucklehead said it's an alien attack. and what's worse, is they supposedly placed non-disclosure forms over this film. yet ONE yahoo let's the "plot" slip?? i doubt it. unless he's in the mood for a lawsuit.

and i agree again about the moaning / growling.

    anyhoo....

  14. Hey guys, found a cool site, started following clues in the old "lost" style and look at this! If you google Noriko Yoshida that appears on the Slusho site, it comes up with a site

    ccs.cla.kobe-u.ac.jp/GenBun/ny/ny.html

Use Babelfish to translate - there is a place where you can put in a password, etc. Look familiar????!!!!

  15. Here is where I started following trails. There are some interesting theories on the boards here (once you cut through the junk!) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1060277/

  18. You guys wanna know something weird? There was an explosion in Manhattan today (NOT TERRORISM so don't worry) that made the ground shake and freaked everyone out. It reminded me of Cloverfield a bit.

  19. Hey, I looked at John Doe's link to a blog by "Ganu Yoshida."

What's weird is that a lot of the profile script is in Russian. I can read Russian letters and put them into English letters, but I can't actually read the Russian language.

I think it's just profile information, like Статистика or "Stateesteeka" meaning statistics and such.

  20. i haven't seen anything on any of these sites to indicate a link to this movie / ARG (if it is indeed one)

  21. Wow, that's a great spot on VH1, Dennis and TBP! Thanks for posting it. Heheh, people sure like to talk about us LOST fans. And Bad Robot sure knows how to push our buttons!

  22. There was an explosion in Manhattan today

Yeah, and the funny (so much as it can be funny) thing is, it was a transformer that blew.

    ReplyDelete
  23. no it wasn't, actually. it was a steam pipe. it burst underground and blew a crater in the street.

steam and water was everywhere. there was a white cloud of steam that shot about 100 feet in the air.

    it's on the news.

  25. go to yahoo.com and look up "explosion in NYC" or "steam pipe blast in NYC".

    ReplyDelete
  26. so.......what? are we playing "chicken or the egg" now??

the cause of it all was the bursting pipe. :P

    ReplyDelete
  27. now, how about we read the entire article, instead of posting what's convenient for the "egg's defense".
