The Origin of Slusho

Slusho was originally mentioned in October of 2001, during the second episode of Alias. JJ Abrams was the Executive Producer on that show, and is the Producer of the Cloverfield / 1-18-08 movie.

The Alias Slush-o logo is quite different than the Cloverfield Slusho! logo, in both style and spelling. In fact, the old logo looks very similar the the real world ICEE.

  1. I was wondering if anyone else noticed something. My roomate had somehow come across the fact that sloshozoom was an actual aim account that you can message. I check back once I've confirmed the how, but I do know its true and he came across it on slusho.jp. As of now, the messages all go unawnsered, but maybe its a bot waiting for the right question?

  4. Very funny take on Cloverfield on this week's Best Week Ever on VH1. Paul F. Tompkins expressed his wish that the monster's name actually was Cloverfield, and that he was a "fancy," "proper" giant lizard with a monocle, top hat and British accent. Much funnier to see than for me to recap. If you can find the video, watch it!

  7. I know that this will just muck up the works, but In one of the videos that is linked after the slusho origin video, about a known actor/actress, They say she is from a show called "The Class." While it appears she is not the same person, there is a character on "The Class whos name is "Ethan Haas." Just another connection that is not really there, but could be made by someone... this is wierd... lol

  8. Ok so Lizzy Caplan is going to be in this movie if you look up Cloverfield on IMDB.com. Lizzy is best known for playing Janice Ian on Mean Girls. She was also on the CBS show "The Class". I went to the The Class website and looked up the bios on all the actors and there is actually an actor named Jason Ritter who plays a character named Ethan Haas...is this a coincidence or what?? I dunno. I know they're saying the Ethan Haas websites have nothing to do with this movie but it just seemed pretty weird!!

  9. If you figured out the Ethan Haas puzzles and signed up to receive an e-mail on August 1st, then we'll all know if Ethan Haas is, in fact, connected with the Cloverfield project.

  13. Again, slushozoom.com was created on 7/12. In-game sites would look a LITTLE better and have been created earlier.

  14. oh and if you make the date into by "twos", you have 01-18-08, which is 108 and 108. lost anyone? also, add those together. you get 216 (February 16th). isn't that when lost is coming back????

then there's, "all is not as it appears".

    and there are these sites:

    http://www.pharmaceutical-technology.com/projects/sbl_vaccin/

    and

    http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_6870.aspx

btw....."city news" is the news that was on the tv during the trailer.

okay friends.......tear this stuff apart. there's plenty in these, i'm sure!!!!

  16. the following is the top part of the site there too. I'm gonna' go with "leviathan" on this. maybe "coelacanth"???

    hmmm.....

In the beginning, there was more than one to inherit the wind.

    The sea is the womb.

    One overcame the other.

Extinct does not always mean dead.

Here's a story from today's 7/16 New York Post about filming in Coney Island. Somebody watching said the film was about an "Alien Invasion." Hmmm..... if anything it's a nice behind the scenes thing!

  18. sorry, don't buy it. someone admitted to signing a disclosure agreement, yet someone else gives up the entire plot????

  21. I don't know if anybody here has read the History in the slusho web page. It's creepy if you in someway add the "design" to a more kiddy webpage. But the history talks about a girls who can drink a lot of this juice all day and they became fanatic and started to make mixtures of flavors and then she never comeback from her last travel in search of the Teastiest ingredient.
The other part of the histery talks about her son and the discovery of the unknown taste in the Deep ocean, at high presure and at very cold temp.
Now, the strange thing is that the nicknames got to be with "whales". A little whale. Then i realize about a sea monster... i can't think too much about that right now cause i don't know how to spell my idea. But that two whales maybe got something to do with the entire script of the movie. Just think about the travel, the mixtures, the "process" (Because the ingredient was discovered on the deep ocean floor, under amazing pressure and in the most extreme cold) and the history related in the search of the mixture. Some say in other pages that is something about a parasite and how as i see, it's even something about that in the story that don't fit. Why in the hell if you drink a lot of that, you became a smallest whale!? and then in the end they say "Taste noriko's dream and became a small whale like noriko".

Well, that's the only thing that i can figure for now. thanks :)

  27. I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but ocasionally at the top of the unforums page at unfiction.com, a well known ARG site, there is an ad for a reward for help locating a man. They show a pic of an asian guy, and ask for any info in finding a SATOSHI!!! Seemed odd enough to check out, so I left any info I got from the whois at slusho, along with the Satoshisplatslush.jp. I heard people googled the name and got something about a lawyer? Maybe you want to send that info in to?

  28. Apparently, according to behindthename.com, Noriko is Japanese for "'law, rule' or 'code, ceremony' combined with 'child'".

Also, Noriko's father's name, Ryouta, means "'cool, refreshing', 'clear', or 'good' combined with 'thick, big'."

I'm not sure of the significance of Noriko's name, but Ryouta sounds like a description of a tasty beverage?

On the slushozoom.com site there is a link to a bath site that is closed. i was viewing the source of the page, and there is font, at the bottom that is white, that you can't see w/o high liting. also the same on the main page. also, there is a web developement firm or something to the effect www.w3.org that is found in the source of the majority of the cloverfield sites 1-18-2008.com as well. then there is a hidden link at the bottom of the slushozoom.com site that takes you to a pharmacutical-technology.com for SBL Vaccine....odd i am totally obsessed......lemme know if you get any mor info from this...

  32. I guess noone here has noticed yet, or people are marking it off as a coincidence, but in one of the last couple of episodes of heroes Elle is seen drinking a Slusho! with that exact logo and then these photos of the cast started showing up online, all with the slusho....

    http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/amerin-bars/slusho/

Greg Grunberg is supposed to be good friends with JJ right? could he have started this on the Heroes set? or do you think he has other director/producer type people in on it too?
