Call of the Comic-Com

Comic-Con is coming in one week!

It looks like next Thursday will be THE day to attend. JJ Abrams will be there promoting Star Trek, but I would definitely expect some Cloverfield news. Also, don't miss the Lost event later in the day.

Here are the details:

1:30-3:30 Paramount Pictures Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, and Nickelodeon Movies present a bold new vision for the future of adventure. Be here for a one-of-a-kind presentation put together just for the fans at Comic-Con as you get a look at such highly anticipated films as Beowulf, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Stardust, Hot Rod, Iron Man, and the next installments of Indiana Jones and Star Trek, plus a few surprises. Appearing in person: JJ Abrams, Neil Gaiman, Roger Avary, and SNL's Andy Samberg. Hall H

5:00-6:00 Lost Season 4 If the Lost finale was any indication of things to come, you will not want to miss this panel! Co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof and executive producer Carlton Cuse will discuss the exciting new season of ABC’s Lost, all leading up to the ultimate series finale. They’ll spotlight bonus features from the 3rd season DVD box set, preview the new Lost video game, take questions from the audience, and perhaps serve up more surprises. Ballroom 20

Here is the complete Comic-Con schedule.

BTW, if anyone lives in the Southern California area, and is planning to attend and wants to do a little live reporting, please send me an email. Unfortunately, 2200 miles is a bit to long of a drive for me to make!

  3. Last time I checked... only the 4-day pass was sold out. Saturday is almost sold out, due to the Simpsons and Heros (although I heard a rumor that Fox pulled out?)

Tickets for just Thursday (the only day I care about), and 3-day passes (minus Saturday) are still available.

  4. Un a unrelated note, neither cloverfield or slusho have been trademarked in the United States, meaning that either neither of those names are the movie's name, or the title is still not final. I know this may be old news to some, but it proves nothing it offical yet.

  5. That's not so unrelated because; J.J. Abrams might be releasing the name at comic con. As well as some new footage.

  6. Because I am all over all things Neil Gaiman...word over at Unfiction is that there will be a Cloverfield trailer attached to the movie Stardust (adapted from the NG novel), which opens August 10th. Not sure if it'll be the same trailer, but one would assume a new one.

I don't have proof they were, I have proof they weren't, thanks to the patent/trademark office website.
