  1. I just got goosebumps listening to that...
    holy crap that was scary.
It was nice to hear some new dialogue, ESPECIALLY the news reporter:
"Something Violent is walking around the city" (I think thats it...maybe get a transcript up?)
And after he says "The mystery will be revealed" you hear HUD say "Oh my god?!" My guess is thats the first time we see the monster in whole.
I'm also glad they are adding the roar to all of the TV Spots and commercials now, because that roar is soo scary and amazing, send chills up my spine everytime I hear it, and its probably what will drag a lot of newcomers to the film.

Also, does anyone else think that that version of the ad has been slightly slowed down? It seems liek everyone sounds slower and deeper?

  4. That last roar we heard was just CHILLING. Loved the screaming and the reactions, I'm guessing when you hear Hud go 'Oh my god' the monster is fully seen.

  9. I decided to make a fan-made TV spot using this radio ad as the background, thought I'd share for those that might care to see: Here.

  10. yes dan, you beat me to it. :P
I noticed right away something was strangely off about the ads, and it was most obvious in the voice of the announcer and when the line 'we cannot go into the middle of the city, we've gotta get out of here!' was played.
But awesome ads, and the roar as well as hud's reaction to seeing the monster makes me even more impatient. XD

  12. "We cannot go into the middle of the city" was in a previous trailer, and it was Marlena saying that. Lily was saying "I'll go with you" in one of the commercials.

I only have that and the myspace pages, but Lily doesn't seem like the type of person to leave her friend behind, alone, and possibly injured with a monster around.

Marlena however, not really knowing Beth and considering her personality type...Yeah, I have to say it's Marlene saying that line.

  14. Ok, scratch all the character reasoning above. Watch the trailer and it's obviously Marlena saying that. No reasoning needed.

  15. holy crap those are good radio spots. can't wait to hear them on the radio.

  16. As if anyone still listens to commercial radio. Spots are tight though.

  17. Hmm, so is that "Phone calls are pouring in" bit going to be in the actual movie, or is it going to be just the "oil tanker capsized" thing from the 5-minute clip? I personally wanted to hear more speculation on the "thunderous roaring sound".
