Whistle Blower Memo #2 - pseunmoisuf

I just received a new memo from "The Whistle Blower", which was sent by email using the Tagruato email address: 18kagashimad@tagruato.jp. I had emailed them a while back asking about the ParafFun recall.

The memo itself is written in Japanese (translation anyone?), but another hand-written message reads:

Americans, No Oil Here! They must have known before they built! - The Whistle Blower

Interestingly, the memo came as a PDF, and the file name is pseunmoisuf.pdf. I Google search for pseunmoisuf doesn't turn up anything... maybe it is an anagram?

UPDATE: Kosmopol from Unfiction has provided a translation. The document is a financial statement for the third quarter of 2007, with a table of the profits from each drilling station. Conspicuously, missing from the list is the Chuai station.

  2. XD Screw christmas.
Neither can I, vernon....hell, neither can anybody! =)

And the TV commercial is cool too, with the new phrase, "WE HAVE A BITE!"
Plus there was a scene of the bridge breaking, which is freakin awesome.
I still wonder how that outside of the helicopter part was filmed, if they were all inside...
was in the second preview. eh.

  4. The Whistle Blower...

Hey, isnt that guy who did the bogus review?

Also, I'm working on the Japanese Translation now...

  5. Great...Why can't one come up in Spanish. I'd be happy flavor to translate it.

  6. dennis, just use google translator (you can probably highlight, copy, paste...)

  7. one anagram of pseunmoisuf is "spume fusion". a spume is "foam or froth on the sea".

another interesting one is "spume info us". ".info" and ".us" are both top-level internet domains, however there doesn't appear to be a valid site at spume.us, and spume.info is for sale.

  11. i am kinda new to the whole "cracking the code" of Cloverfield. but i am catching up. the pseunomoisuf jpg is obviously a tracking order form of some sort. there is the symbol for money all over it. i used an anagram generator. http://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=pseunmoisuf&t=1000
thats the one i used if your interested. it came up with a ton of combos. most of which are obviously pointless to track down. but i noticed a lot of foreign languages. some Latin, Greek, and i think Japanese and or Chinese translated to American. If any of you hardcore searchers would care to kind of collaborate with me search me up on facebook or myspace and we will try to work together. i have most of the actually credible websites bookmarked and have studied them. I read the spoiler...seems plausible but has some holes in it that need some dissecting.

  12. Doing a search for "pseunmois" leads to a "did you mean pseudomonas?" on Google. The link then leads to the wiki for pseudomonas which may be a key. It states that pseudomonas is a human pathogen.

  13. i scrambled it to be "poison fumes". i don't know maybe nothing but it's better than some of those mentioned previously ;O)

  14. crap. i mistook one of my letters i wrote down to be an "o" when it is actually a "u". guess i'm back to the drawing board.

  16. TIDOWave has been updated:
"I don’t know what to say. They told me to post here. I’ve never done this before.

Um…..things are not going as planned. There has been a problem with the “event”. Please contact me if you have any information on Randy or the others. I’m the only one here right now. Backup desperately needed."

I'm guessing this is Margaret, since her account on the blog was recently deleted? Which may be completely unrelated. Is tidowave even still in game?

  17. Man, this is intense. it changes EVERYTHING! before this, I assumed that there was an accident at chuai station and tagruato was just trying to cover it up, but now.. hmm.. now it seems they have some kind of invisible motive. I wonder what the hell they're up to?

Also, My friends and I have taken to calling the Monster "Chuai".

  18. I want a new 1-18-08.com picture so badly!
    that tidowave stuff sounds legit.
Post something so we can discuss it, dennis?
    thx for everything

  19. uh huh...i wish they would explain the "event"..

  20. As I've been looking for anagrams for pseunmoifff or whatever, I also check one more time for TAGRUATO anagrams. One is TAUT ROGA. What or Who the hell is ROGA ? you probably ask. ROGA DANAR is a character from .... STAR TREK (everyone here knows the connection with JJ ABRAMS hu hu !)

  21. Still searching for TAGRUATO anagrams ...
    This submarine is USS TAUTOG
    http://members.aol.com/woodblox/ssn639p.jpg
AR is the code used in US Navy for 'Repair Ship'
This ship has been used for 30 years and was 'stricken' 10 years ago. His 'motto' was "The Terrible T"

ps : a TAUTOG is also a fish

  23. It sounds like T.I.D.O. Wave has turned to insurgency against Tagruato, and in the everyday lives of people like Rob, an underground attrition war is being fought intensely.

Niether side wants to tell the authorities anything, they just want to kill eachother...

    ReplyDelete
  24. P.S- Tagruato "forgot" to put in Chuai oil data... they seem to be doing something REALLY big there.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I remember an old post i did about the bite stuff, where on the second trailer Rob is bitten (three dots on his top shoulder next to the base of the neck and the purple color arroud the eyes and purple mouth) and the obvious other woman as well, so the bite is no surprise.

On the other hand this "Whistle Blower" is very weird that he or she (we don´t know yet..) used the Tagruato e-mai, obviously an insider from TIDO among the Tagruato Drilling Station...

Dennis: This will sound like the ending of GREASE movie.....but... "After Cloverfield premieres...will we see each other again"

Ra-ma la-ma la-ma ka ding a da ding de dong
    Shoo-bop sha wad-da wad-da yipp-it-y boom de boom

    hahhaha HUGS TO ALL!!

  26. I'm sorry, Dennis and folks, but it's looking like I'm going to have to stop reading this site and all other Cloverfield discussions at this point. Seems like too many people are spreading word from private screenings of the movie and versions of the script, etc. I don't want to be reading this site and start reading stuff about multiple helicopters and all that. At this point I think I need to get out before I regret getting majorly spoiled... See you after the movie comes out!

  27. what is this "event" that you guys are talking about? i have caught on to most of the references being talked about, but this is one i cant quite track down. anyone mind telling me about it?

    ReplyDelete
  28. the "event" was mentioned in the TIDOwave.com site

  29. hey theres a new update on the TIDOwave blog. any idea who it could be from?

  30. Hey, the Chuai station opened in September 2007, which is actually part of the fourth quarter of 2007, so i guess no profits have come from it yet... if ever... :|

  31. Hi guys im Alfredo from mexico, here us my theories for the Anagram
1.- if u choose the combination "Use Info Sump"
then in the memo The first colum(Barrels) multiplied by second column (cost per barrel) is supossed to give 3rd column, right? well it doesn't !!!, one may use the diferences to find some kind of number ( and some suggested me that number to be an IP)
2.- Anagram Option : Menus Of I Pus
    Menus Of I Ups
    Menus Of I Sup
    Menus Of Pi Us
    Menus Of Is Up
    Probably a Restaurant.
    :O ????

  32. The filename "pseunmoisuf.pdf" has "un mois" ("one month" in French) in the middle of it, and

the file was delivered on December 18, one month before the 1-18-08 opening date. Not exactly "in game" but who knows... and then googling the remaining letters "pseuf" gives a specific unclassified pseudomonad (relating to sg's earlier post): http://beta.uniprot.org/taxonomy/79676 .

Based on the "un mois" and skinny amphibian leg that passes by the Woolworth building, I think this is a giant mutated frog... yet another (cheap?) shot at the French, which ties in nicely to having Liberty's head removed (she was a gift from les francais, non?)

    Yeah, okay, maybe not. ;)

    Please don't go!

I'm striving to keep Cloverfield Clues spoiler-free. If you notice, I haven't been covering any of the "reviews", and I won't cover anything I think is a spoiler.

To that end, I have deleted the comment above, and I am issuing this request to everyone: please do not discuss any private screening in the comments.

pseunmoisuf could be :ef i om suns up

  36. Also, My friends and I have taken to calling the Monster "Chuai".
I know that's the station but it's still Japanese =/ this monster is supposed to be American for Americans. We at least need a name that we/everyone can look at and know how to pronounce right away. Personally, I have no idea of how to pronounce Chuai lol Even Godzilla is easier to read and pronounce. Chuai makes me think "Chewy"(is that how it's pronounced?) and we already have a tall shaggy brown hair fan favorite with that nickname (Chewbacca)

DENNIS! That's awesome Thanks! I only go here for any new info, even UF is starting to get alot of reviews and spoilers...

  38. Er, sorry to cause so much drama with my comment on the helicopters. If you read closely, pinkhamster, I was stating my OWN theory as to how the exterior shot of the lifting helicopter got into the film. I have been to no screening, nor have inside info. I'm just postulating. The fake review, which being fabricated we no longer consider a spoiler, had the same idea in it. That's the only reason I referenced it.

It's naive to think you can participate in the ARG, then go into the film completely devoid of preconceptions.

  39. "pseunmoisuf" really looks like an anagram. Some interesting words that come out of it:

    info

sum(s) - maybe adding up the numbers on the sheet

    spies

couldn't find anything that really clicked, although i am not up to date on all clues. here are a bunch of anagrams here, all of them maybe:

    http://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=pseunmoisuf&language=english&t=0&d=&include=&exclude=&n=&m=&source=adv&a=n&l=n&q=n

  40. when i hear pseunmoisuf,it sounds like the name of a drug to me, as i work in a pharmacy ( kinda like pseudoephedrine, aka Sudafed) also on the Tagruato website is a section on using deep sea creatures for medical use in cancers and whatnot. maybe a experiment/test gone wrong? or maybe they tries to extract something that made this monster angery

    ReplyDelete
  41. we are way to ADHD here. we go crazy for a few days trying to figure out a clue and then we stop just as fast as it showed up. maybe the whistle blower will see that we didn't figure it out and send another.
