Note the picture behind the guy when hes in the office, then when he finally opens the door and the water spills out, the mermaid swims directly under the moose going straight to its mouth and then she suddenly has that same picture. Anyone have an idea what the picture is?

haha. well when he pulls his shirt up, the slusho is "in his belly" and he gets angry, busts open the door, and attacks? interesting, and weird. really weird.
Lol I love that commercial. It's reaffirming what we already knew that Slusho makes you stronger and possibly bigger. Also notice when he opens the door, he see's what's behind it and runs away.
Also something very interesting; towards the end, the yellow duck in the Slusho t-shirt explodes into the Slusho flavors. Reminds me of the girl who seems to explode in the trailer? Maybe the flavors are the smaller monsters and they explode out of people after drinking Slusho?
The moose sounds like the monster when it first comes in and makes that sound.

Pay attention to the Green mermaid thing.. i dont think its the picture shes holding i think its a Box in the beggining ( Teddys box???). After that you see the mermaid reading a book and pointing then looks like she starts crying

You know, I don't think there are any clues to get from this, other than Slusho is made by a Japanese company, and the Japanese have really, really strange commercials.

at 54/55 seconds notice how the robots burst out of the ducks stomach...interesting...i dont think any of this would have any clues...in the rules it says to remember that slusho has nothing to do with any thing mean or SCARY so they want us to keep away from that subject and incorporate weirdness into our video...sucks because i thought that mermaid was pretty weird and important

There is something very unsettling about that video...the man seems a little too angry, a little too much of everything. Japanese culture is pretty bizarre.
One of those things where it makes you uneasy but you don't know why.

it's extremely common in Japan for all types of songs to include english words
and really everyone... it's not as mermaid! look at the screen shots you can clearly see 2 legs, a diving mask, and a snorkel
after reading the translation of the commercial its clear to me that its a message to us and that we are missing something from the viral stuff out there to some important clue.

Indeed, since the inception of this column, I have been adhering to Al Bundy's immortal fatwah, "It is good to hate the French." I have made The Simpsons-derived epithet "Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys" an accepted term in official diplomatic channels around the globe.
OK, maybe not, but if you ever do hear Kofi Annan refer to the Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys, I will deserve much of the credit. As it has been pointed out before in this space, time and again, the boulevards in Paris are lined with trees so Germans can always march in the shade. I have translated almost every single French phrase from hors d'oeuvres to "C'est la vie" to mean, "I surrender!" Or, "Yes, officer, the refugees are in my basement, I'll show you the way."

not sure if any of this would be relevant but if you look in the stars on the way left halfway up it looks like there's an "OH" or a "DH" written there. It's not clear, it's kinda like when you write something with your finger in dust that's been there for a really long time, not quite "clean" but you can see it. The number 7 stands for completeness. You can't drink just six, because up until then nothing happens(?). Maybe it
is at seven slushos that a person reaps its benefits. Six is an uncomplete number representing falling short of something, missing the mark. So maybe the slogan is right, you can't drink just six, because that would be a waste, you gotta drink 7 in order to "get it" whatever it is.
I think it takes 7 slushos to get enough of the special ingredient in your body to cause the "happiness." Anyone care to shoot me down?

There is definitely some figure/wording/something on the door about 3/4ths of the way up whenever the man turns to greet the moose.
Sounds like a good theory to me Tom. The "can't drink six" thing would seemingly need to have some kind of purpose.
Ok I've just used Paintshop Pro on all the photos w/ the door and the picture in the background and I've image resized, one stop photo fixed, flipped/reversed and mirrored and I can find NOTHING! :(
There's definitely some kind of writing on the door but it seems to be in Kanji, could just be part of the commercial to be fair and I can't seem to get close enough to the pic' in the bg without distorting it.

I dont think that they know they are creating something bad, as it is not wanting people to make slusho/cloverfield trailers. The general consensus is that most of this stuff is going to be the back story to what happens in the movie, so to have a slusho! commercial that was dark like cloverfield wouldn't make a lot of sense(to me at least...)

I know this theory is going to seem kind of far fetched but just run with it!
I looked at the whole commercial as a giant metaphor.
The white gloved hand that closes the door is God or a greater presence. It closes the door and locks whatever it is, inside of it.
The man (Ganu) tries to get at it, and to no avail, becomes frustrated. He then becomes so determined with the thought of Slusho, possibly the idea of obtaining the sea-bed nectar, that he becomes hell bent on forcing it open. When he makes the clenched fist, it is meant to resemble "the hand of power". He uses or teams up with the "hand of power" to force the door open.
When he finally does get the door open, not only does it release the Slusho! (sea-bed nectar) but he also realizes that he unlocked something that he didn't want to release. Which is why he runs away from the door. It also sounds like as he is just running off screen he says "it's free!". I don't know exactly but thats what it sounds like.
I know that it is kind of far fetched but just another angle to take on it.
The picture on the wall is the red/clear mixer that can be found in the picture with the chef on 1-18-08.com. They cropped the picture down to the blender to emphasize it. What's its importance? Dunno.

I'm not sure if the "cheese flag" has anything to do with the plot, but I do know that when the movie was being shot "cheese" was on of the code-names the movie was filmed under. It could just be an inside reference to that.

Could Slusho be the "cheese" of the cloverfield monster. Cheese is the milk from mammals that has been through curding. But this would mean the monster has to be a mammal thats why i highly doubt that it could be her milk.

I was thinking, does anybody think that maybe the internet "hunt" for clues on Cloverfield will continue after the movie is released? What if the movie ends abbrubtly without a clear explanation of the monster. It just seems that since there a so many internet "things" affiliated with the movie, it doesn't seem like movie could include all of them into the story line. The MySpace pages makes you believe that the story is taking place in real-time. So how could everything about the monster be solved during a movie that takes place over 1 day. Maybe some of you guys could elaberate on this.

This is the most freaking random thing ever!!! Whats with this. The only thing that caught my eye was (of course) the exploding duck that turns to the flavors. Too much like the exploding girl in the trailer (although most of u probably know this)

have we given up on this trailer? can someone with photoshop do me a favor? on this screen shot, if you zoom in on the grass in a certain spot it looks like there's 2 lightning bolts or 2 #4s but the only way I have of zooming in (windows picture viewer lol) distorts it. There is about an inch long spot in the grass where you can see it looks different from everywhere else (the #4s are at the end of the spot). It's on the left side, bottom edge, and starts about an inch over from the left side of the picture. You can see it looks different before even zooming in but it's subtle. Like there's more white in the grass than anywhere else.

If you wait for long enough and/or switch to the 'happytalk' menu, you will hear what seems to be 'the beast' roaring. Can't say for sure what it is, but, it doesn't sound like a dubbed godzilla sound.
ok this what i think the guy is the monster and something like a cave in trapped him, then he become frozen in the deepest part of the ocean like space. then he breaks himself out and he is hungry for some slusho or people (we are the flavors). maybe there will be more than one monster, who know i'm still trying to understand "LOST" :[
ok one more thing the little crab is crying right before the duck blows up. Maybe all the animals are the stars of the movie, and after it's all done the monkey will save the day. to me it is telling a story not a comercial. the scary background it is what new york will look after it's done. maybe there will be only six people alive in the end. now i am going back to unstanding LOST
Ok, this is my first post here... so cut me some slack. I will be sharing my ideas and point of views, meaning I will not mention what we already know without an explanation. Ok here goes my first theory:
1) Notice the guys fingers moving around in that form like as if he was waiting for something, he seems really impatient. Probably he was waiting for the chance to get through the door without getting noticed (By who though? I don't know). For what? I think it's for knowledge (I'll discuss this later). But did he know the door was opened? I'd say he knew, because in the translation, the moose talks to him saying that he (the man) had the fault on not doing anything when he (the man) knew that the door was open and later then the two heads speak to him about something being such a shame (probably the shame of not having the chance to see what's through the door) and about losing the chance to go through or see what's through the door (knowing that the man was curious and impatient to see what was on the other side). Ok, about the moose coming in... I really don't know why a moose, but I'm pretty sure that the whole setting wasn't taking place in outer space, it was taking place on earth... in night time. And when the floating heads appear, it becomes day time. Maybe he was having a dream of some sort, letting him know of the chance he had. And he wakes up knowing that it was such a shame he didn't see the other side of the door while it was still open. After the girl (one of the floating heads) speak, he suddenly then finds the answer on uncovering the mistery behind the door... he Drinks 7 (I say 7 because of the whole 7 theory thing... but i suppose it can be any amount on this video) slushos and becomes very strong (the face on stomach part), opens the door, and looks at what may be the possibilities on whats on the other side of the door: 1) The Monster 2) the REAL slusho ingredients 3)Every single information that has to do with slusho and possible files on future testings on how slusho reacts -or will react- to the human body (ok this one is a little ridiculous... but it happened to cross my mind thinking about the whole people in scientific suits and the army, etc)
Notice, he also gets scared, and runs away after seeing what is beyond the door (explaining maybe the monkey with the cheese surrender flag at the end of the video - Cheese-eating surrender monkeys - ). Ignorance is bliss, and in his case, would have been a blessing, but yet he runs after knowing what lies behind the door. He also seems to be running for a greater purpose... he seems to be running for his life. Is he afraid of dieing or of being captured? Well, we all noticed the water behind him once he opens the door, so maybe that symbolizes that he found out everything about slusho, about it's secrets and whatnot, and maybe that knowledge was way too much and freaked him out... because maybe it said something about drinking slusho... and having it affect your life. I did happen to notice the swimming lady (aka Mermaid... lol) with the... picture thing, painting, whatever. Anywho, notice how the painting appears only after the man runs by, if you see the video HD on quicktime and pause it on 00:52 seconds, you'll notice the guys head is on the paintings' spot. Not only that but the painting is already focusing towards us, but on 00:56 seconds the painting it turns from left to right as the lady in the water turns from left to right... while hammering what seems to be an imaginary wall... or maybe she is trying to find a wall... or maybe she's trying to put things together but she can't (symbolizing us... the viewers...). About the rest.... I wouldn't know it doesnt say much. And my second theory... I'll write about it some other time.. or maybe not, because i'm still analyzing it... and it hasnt come out well... o well, hope this can help, if not by a lot, a least by a little.
