TidoWave.com

The clues in the Tagruato hack have been solved, leading to a new site - TidoWave.com. If you recall, five items were numbered in the hacked picture. Taking the first letter of each four, and adding it to wave gives you the address of the new site. It seems so simple now! ;)

I have an mirror of the hacked site here: http://tagruato.cloverfieldclues.com/hacked.htm

The T.I.D.O. Wave website is a front for an environmental activist group called Les Guerriers de Mère-Terre (The Warriors of Mother Earth). LGMT was founded by notorious conservationist Les Bandit Vert (The Green Bandit).

One thing cleared up right away is about the funeral, and mysterious death of Kazui Ichigawa.

There is a lot to explore, so check out the new site, and let me know what you find.

* Thanks to everyone for emailing me about this, especially Junior/R4ph43L who emailed me first, and to Eliss at Unfiction for finding the site!

  1. WELL THEN... what the hell does this have to do with the movie? lol

  2. So we know who"the cause" is finally. i suppose they'll play a vital role in the film. maybe jamie will be able to explain what's going on with the monster with whatever is in her present from teddy?

  3. "A memorial service will be held at Tagruato Headquarters. For details, contact a Tagruato representative at +81-3-5403-6318."

Has anyone tried contacting this number?

  5. has there been any proof that the T.I.D.O. and "the cause" are the same

  6. well hey come ON! they have to be the same! i think. crap, now i'm doubting myself man! but tido is certainly a "cause" wouldn't you all think?

    ReplyDelete
  7. i'd say it's A cause, maybe not THE cause.. the website doesn't say anything about "the cause"..

...anybody else read about the "amazing discovery" of Kazui Ichigawa?

  8. This is probably a stupid idea, but on the Cruel-etin Board they mentioned the effects that the noise pollution had on the humpback whale population. I remember there being a lot of talk about the monster being some whale-hybrid creature, do you think there's a connection?

I personally think it's a parasite, but this is just another idea.

  9. (unrelated to the topic, buy relative to the film)

i watched the trailer again, and i don't think it's slusho that's causing marlena to explode, i think it's whatever else is out there (smaller creatures infecting her?)

look for the scene where you hear some strange clicky noises, and rob says: "did you guys hear that?"

i think it's then that lena is attacked and infected..that's my guess i guess

  10. I dont know if this has anything to do with anything, but theres an article about unique fauna being extinct because of Tagruato on TIDO. Which is sunda anemone, and search in wikipedia found that Rhineback, New York is the anemone capital of the World, which i am sure is imported through NYC.

  17. check the "Cruel-etin board" entry about Whales around the Chuai Drilling Station and noise pollution.

They specifically mention "other creatures". I think we may have a more definitive reason for the monster's attack. It gets "scared" and "confused" and in a panic heads toward NYC.

  18. By nature, Les Guerriers de Mère-Terre are not a violent or destructive assemblage. We believe that every problem has a peaceful solution, and will do all that we can to avoid bloodshed. However, evil forces such as Tagruato often refuse to adhere to diplomacy. When they snap our olive branch over their greedy knee, we must use it to stab them in the heart.

Make no mistake -- Mother Earth is at war. Her adversary is Mankind. It is a vicious foe, ruthless, pitiless, and presided over by fools. That is why She needs us. We will fight at Her side till the day She takes us Elsewhere.

t.i.d.o releases monster to punish mankind?

or alternatively they see the monster as mother earth fighting back and attempt to help it? aka small monsters?

  19. We thank the good “internet samaritans” for shutting down access, for however short a time it ends up staying. Those precious hours will be free of consumers getting sucked into Tagruato’s web. Maybe Devil Yoshida will even start to acknowledge the public resistance against his methods. We’re here, and Tagruato will now learn our voices are only growing stronger.

Of course, we have no idea who did the hacking but, whoever it was, they are ingenius, a great supporter of our cause, and undoubtedly ruggedly handsome.

  22. Did anyone read the cruel-tin board about the 'Unique Fauna on the Brink'? They are talking about some million year old species called Sunda Anemone that are on the brink of extinction due to the operations of the Itoku Drilling station. They are saying that the Sunda Anemone is a Cnidarian - (wiki it for definition). I find it strange but i cant find any hits on "Sunda Anemone" itself. Could that contibute to the awakening.. or evolution of the monster?

  25. I don't know if this is anything worth mentioning, but the website is in the Pacific time zone. I just left a comment on the site, and being in the Eastern time zone, I expected to see that the comment was posted at 10:45pm on 12/2 abouts, but it was for 3 hours earlier. Too long of an explanation, I know, but yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah let's think about that Greenbear business real quick: Guy posts a comment about wanting to get more info on TIDO, and his name is Greenbear. Like a bear that cares about the environment? Like a teddy bear that cares about the environment? Like Teddy??

    Yeahhhh that sounds plausible.

  27. Kazui Ichigawa and his family's death "just after abruptly retiring" is damn sure a hit to hush him up. He "made a discovery" and Tag made things go boom. Let the games continue.

    ReplyDelete
  28. well this is certainly the cause...but what did Ichigawa discover?

  32. Just dropping a note to say that it just occurred to me that the reason Ganu Yoshida is facing away from the camera in the picture they keep using of him is because he doesn't appear in this movie, and therefore no one has been cast to play him. They show him from behind so that if there is a sequel and Ganu is in it, they can cast practically any Japanese male actor, and they would look like that from behind if given the same suit and haircut.

  34. Lol... I left a comment on tidowave under the name R. Hawkins (I'm not sure if they let other people see it yet) but basically it plays into their fake viral stuff, but I managed to ask them discreetly about what Seabed's Nectar really is.

  40. TIDOWave is real, because it has the funeral barge picture, with MORE of the picture. on the tag version, you can even see the corn er where the pic was cut off. The funeral name is F***ing Kitsume, NOT Kazui, and the greenbear blog was made in 2006. Also, I've been commenting on TIDOWave as zaboomafoo. god bless that lemur

  42. Erick, I think you're definitely right. I think they intend for us to infer that Ichigawa and his family were murdered by Tagruato. The Tagruato History Fun Fact #42, about the death of the owner of the small family-owned mining outfit in Honshu, is undoubtedly not a coincedence in the folklore. The Cloverfield powers that be want us to draw a connection.

  54. STEPHAN... "The Effect" / tagruato.blogspot.com site is FAKE / OOG. It is "fan-fiction".

    For proof, see: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22220&sid=d409bad6b19516d60b62c9969b85cfb0

  55. This might be old news, but it looks like they put up our comments!

About the air traffic thing, I'm not sure if it is even the same number they were talking about, but somewhere I read that one of the in-game numbers was actually for an airport in Santa Monica, CA. Apparently, the airport used to be called "Cloverfield".

  56. on TidoWave Cruel-etins:
Tagruato History Fun Fact #42 (in summary) explains that they try to buy a mining outfit from someone. "He refuses, and soon wind up dead." He changed his mind about the sale the night before his death, leaving instructions to sell his company to Tagruato...

Sounds like something that might have happened to Ichigawa. I know he used to work there, but maybe they wanted something from him.

    Just a thought. =]

    ReplyDelete
  57. Maybe I missed something, but with little i know about Japanese...the Cruel-etin Board lists fun facts about Tagruato. When clicking on them, instead of saying Tagruato it has some Japanese Kanji. I assumed it said Tagruato, but the first two kanji are KA-NO I'm not sure what the third one is. Am I way off on this one? Is my Japanese that horrible?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Tatzelworm ...

The Japanese you see - 力の手 - is the original name of Tagruato. It translates to "Hand of Power".

The name come the Tagruato's history page: http://tagruato.jp/history.php

  59. All this hype and the huge excitement of a NEW site that stirs everything up even more so...boy, like many others, I'm absolutely worked up on Cloverfield.
I'd love to see how everything is going to play out in the movie.
Like, if it will start with the party, or start with the corporation of Slusho and Tagruato and the like.
I bet the people working on the movie check out cloverfield clues out quite a bit.
They know all the right ways to get us hooked, at least online.
    TIDO was a great move.
The only thing that remains confusing is how this is all going to tie into the movie when it's all finalized.
But since the filming is probably completed already, I'm quite positive that they would have thought of that already.
What I hope for now is how they're going to incorporate it and how well they will.
Like Rob could be related to Slusho, thus his trip to Japan.
That's how it's probably going to go; Rob had originally planned to travel to Japan to help market the popular Slusho! beverage, but a sudden attack upon New York from a terrifying monster violently throws Rob into the mysteries of Tagruato and the dark secret of Seabed's Nectar, and the connections between them all are revealed as time passes.
I wonder if Rob will be the hero? :S
    Only January 18 will tell.
Till then, it's off to TIDOWave for me!
