Cloverfield Sequel To Be Animated?

Brad Bird, the two-time Academy Award-winning director of The Incredibles and Ratatouille, was seen sporting a Slusho! shirt as a post-Oscar party. He will direct the next Cloverfield movie as an animated feature, working on the sequel as soon as production wraps on his current project - 1906 - in the hopes that the film can be released on 1/16/09 (the next MLK weekend).

Yes, this was an April Fools Joke. Har Har. There is no sequel planned at this time. But the picture is real...

  7. Yeah I doubt Abrams is dumb enough to hand over Cloverfield to an animated film director.
