Cloverfield Sequel To Be Animated?

Brad Bird, the two-time Academy Award-winning director of The Incredibles and Ratatouille, was seen sporting a Slusho! shirt as a post-Oscar party. He will direct the next Cloverfield movie as an animated feature, working on the sequel as soon as production wraps on his current project - 1906 - in the hopes that the film can be released on 1/16/09 (the next MLK weekend).

Yes, this was an April Fools Joke. Har Har. There is no sequel planned at this time. But the picture is real...

I have my money on April Fools...seriously what kind of nut would let the next intense Cloverfield be Pixar Family Friendly?? NO ONE!!!

Yeah I doubt Abrams is dumb enough to hand over Cloverfield to an animated film director.

this movie was excellent, a light in the dark unpromising abyss that is the movie industry, something done almost perfect, a movie that had months of hype and a huge fan base, its bad enough that they're going along with this ridiculous manga story line but if this fucking movie is animated and this isn't an april fools joke, I'm going to personally drive to JJ Abrams house and kick his ass
