* Since there were some pretty significant spoilers in the original documents, I have changed my mind about discussing those spoilers here. You can now discuss the EDITED, SPOILER-FREE version here, but not any spoilers in the unedited versions. Sorry for posting the original here, and if I spoiled anyone!
is it just me or does anyone noticed no jaime in the cast i think she may die before the movie omg she may die before the movie she may just be a character like teddy just to give info and to lead up to the story and rob or someon is going to post about her deat i mean she may commit suicide
ReplyDeleteJeez louise.
ReplyDeleteFirst! This really is spoiler free?
ReplyDeleteCould you at least leave up the original link for those of us who DO want to see all the notes?
ReplyDelete1st post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this dennis!
I'm really grateful for this, because dude, I was very tempted to read those production notes in the last update.

ReplyDeleteThat's doesn't mean anything. There are probably lots of people in the movie that aren't in the cast list. If we are to belive the photos on 1-18-08.com Jamie is at the party.

Third. :)
Yes, I have edited out all the spoilers. You will see XXX where I cut something out.

No. If you really want to find it, it's out there. I'll put it back up after the 18th if that helps :)
Thanks for staying spoiler free Dennis. It is appreciated.
ReplyDeleteawsome work in this blog Dennis... the layout and all make it look like a real Cloverfield website
ReplyDeleteuh jamie is at the party she is in the teaser or am i worng here?
ReplyDeleteWow, this is really intense. I did end up reading the original version of the production notes, and I have to say it is interesting. I won't spoil any details, but the things I read are everything I had thought from watching the tv commercials. I'm still curious about some things but I'll wait till the 18th.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it jsut doesn't look like her on HD screen.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, it always looks like I got first but I never do... Lol.
No The teaser/trailer/widget woman doesn't even have a similar face. She is not Jamie, or at the very least a different actress playing her.
ReplyDeleteI don't get this whole "spoiler-free" thing. I thought the whole point of this site was to point out which sites had ACTUAL spoilers and not fake stuff. If I really wanted spoiler-free, I would just stop looking at any information about the movie after the first mention of it.
ReplyDelete(You know, I was about to point out that they also didn't mention Hawk as being in the movie, but then I realized that that was just Jason's nickname.)

ReplyDeleteHere's the "point" of my spoiler free policy:
There will still be a lot of Cloverfield news between now and when the movie is released. The problem is, the movie has already began with their sneak previews, which means every day, more and more people will have seen the movie before it opens nationwide. There are already several reviews of the movie already out there.
Most people, including myself, don't want to know everything that happens in the movie before they get a chance to see it. I don't want to know who dies, or who doesn't, or what the monster looks like, etc... I want to see it for myself.
By not publishing spoilers, people can still come to this site and find out what's going on Cloverfield news-wise without having the movie ruined for them.
For instance, a lot of people have emailed me to let me know they are no longer reading other sites, like Unfiction because of the spoilers. If they avoided the internet altogether until the movie comes out, they may miss out on all kinds of cool stuff, like the Cloverfield Auction, JJ Abrams interviews, sneak previews in their area, etc.
I know my spoiler-free policy is not for everyone. If you are looking for early reviews of the movie, or leaked pictures of the monster, or the unedited production notes, you'll just have to look elsewhere... sorry.
But doesn't everything else you report on count as some kind of a spoiler?
ReplyDeleteAnd besides, the ARG isn't over yet, (I would hope sense the movie probably won't explain everything they would with the ARG) And those who want to continue with the game but not be completely spoiled have somewhere to go.

ReplyDeleteJust google or yahoo "cloverfield production notes". You can then see the articles and compare where Dennis deleted them and inserted his X's.
ON another note, I think Jamie is going to be in the movie, but just a quick cameo shot, then either vanish or die. She's not a main character, and her viral marketing page jamieandteddy.com is her main role in the movie. The reason behind this theory is because no other character has their own web videos, and obviously Jamie is not the main character. So I think her role is just to help with the background buildup marketing strategy.
Just my 2 cents.

ReplyDeleteNo, don't be silly. Listen, I don't care if you want to spoil yourself. Knock yourself out! You'll just have to do it somewhere else.
ok dennis, on slashfilm, how do i get to the other articles, ur link just goes to the better monster bit, and thats the only one on the page.
ReplyDeleteisn't the line about the late scene used for auditioning a spoiler?!? maybe it's in the trailers or something, but I've been avoiding those too.
